I still can't understand why people think Guiliani has a shot.

The man hasn't even beaten Ron Paul in some of these primaries, yet no one's screaming for him to drop out and even arguing that he has a serious chance.

Is there something I'm missing?

Never mind. So why isn’t Hunter ahead of McCain?

Remember Gen. Creighton W. Abrams at the Battle of the Bulge?

Can’t wait to see how the FRedheads spin it when Fred endorses McCain and it becomes painfully clear he was a shill all along.

I will tell you how I would spin that now if you wish. John McCain is the only one of the four liberals left that I would trust to be commander-in-chief of our armed forces. From what I have heard from the other three I don't believe they have a clue (with the exception of maybe Rudy). If you have to nominate a liberal during a time of war at least nominate one who understands the proper application of military power to achieve political and military objectives.

McCain will be 72 in a couple of months, as old as Reagan when he ran for his second term in 1984.

But here is the real math.

Not a single candidate in the Republican Primary can gather 1191 before the convention. Do the math. Not enough WTA contests, not a strong enough candidate to break the 40% barrier in a contested primary.

(Congrats to Romney for breaking 50% at the Nevada caucus today. A very strong win for him!)

Please, let’s not call Fred a shill for McCain. He’s a good man and if he endorses McCain, he will think that’s the best man to be president. I certainly don’t, and believe most on this board thinks the same. I have to believe Romney will be better than McCain.

"Fred was more of an entertainer..."

"McCain is...*cough*...not so bad..."

"Loyalty is part of true conservatism..."

"Fred will still surge in November...this is part of the plan to fool the MSM..."

It’s just so WRONG but it’s the truth.

Well, FDT hasn't gotten very much good press until just the past week or two, so I'm holding out for a sudden awakening of the grassroots.

Granted, its a thin reed. But, as someone once said, stranger things have happened.

That is my position as well. I'm not a McCainiac, but I'd take him over Flip, Gungrabiani, or Huck.

I’m glad there is one.

Perhaps Rudy’s got a plan after all.

Sorry, Huck’s support started after Fred tanked in the fall. Fred HAD a lot of those people and did well in some polls, but then he fell off. They wandered around for a while, and then decided to jump on the Huckabee bandwagon.

McCain is somewhere around 70. I don’t think it’s age with Fred and the VP slot. If he could imagine himself doing the VP job I think he would, age aside. I just don’t think he can see himself doing that.

Romney can also say that he really didn’t campaign in SC.

If Romney doesn’t win Florida, it would be better for Romney if Rudy took all of the delagates, rather than McCain or Huckabee. Rudy hasn’t spent money and time in the super Tuesday states. Romney has the best ground game, imo, for super Tuesday.
