Brit Hume just called it.
You’re a sore loser, P-Marlowe.
No thanks; I prefer to pay my own way, and there's no Constitutional provision for free medical care for selected classes, to be funded by the earnings of others.
Romney is a big-government type, and those in denial will use any contorted rationale to deny it.
We don't need any more government regulation or oversight in our lives....period.
I haven't lost yet.
I'm just trying to prevent a train wreck.
Your assessment that Romney is a RINO couldn't be more incorrect. No RINO has EVER run on a Reagan pro-life conservative platform.
Oh, and most of the Republican base left, right and center, would vote for Romney in the general against the democrats.
Romney can beat Hillary handily and he is the only Republican who has a chance to defeat Obama.
Furthermore, the Democrats and the MSM KNOW Romney is the Republican to beat, the reason they give him such short shrift.
It is people like you who support candidates who cannot win, who betray and abandon conservative principles. Not people who support someone running on conservative principles who can.
Actually, you're trying to cause one.
“I think Obama is going to win the DNC nomination.”
Hilda Beast is unstoppable.
Uh huh.
I’m not afflicted by Clinton mania, as so many on the Right are. We tend to forget the better politician in the Clinton family on his best day politically failed to draw 50% of the votes cast in 96.
You can make a viable argument the Clinton ‘era’ was a historical accident brought on by Bush Senior’s insane decision to raise taxes.
Pale grey on white sucks as webpage design. Your post looked interesting, but I just couldn’t get past having to read pale grey on white. Have mercy on those of us who wear bifocals.
I have food in my refrigerator that has been there longer than Romney has been pretending to be a pro-life conservative.
Romney can beat Hillary handily and he is the only Republican who has a chance to defeat Obama.
BS, Romney has over 50% national negatives. Obama will beat him like a drum. And when the facts come out about the 150 year racist history of the LDS Church, Romney's popularity among independents will drop like a rock.
He might have a slim chance against Hillary, only because her national negatives are pretty close to Romney's.
Frankly I'm dismayed at all the RINO's on this forum who think of Romney as some kind of knight in shining armor. It's a facade. He's just pulled the wool over everyone's eyes.
Needs to be repeated alert:
“All you idiots you support the Rino can thank yourselves for abandoning conservative principles for political expediency.
Romney is a fake republican.
If the republicans choose a RINO to run against Hillary/Obama, then we deserve nothing less than Hillary/Obama.
The base will not support a RINO like Romney. Without the base, we cannot win the national elections.
Think about that before you pull the lever for a RINO.”
You got it right P-Marlowe. Don’t let some of the RINO’s here stop you from speaking the truth. Lot’s of gullible fliparoos here who were conned into thinking that Flip is a conservative. Just goes to show you how slick this guy is.
“the better politician in the Clinton family”
Clinton couldn’t keep his thing in his pants. Hillary doesn’t have that problem.
“You can make a viable argument the Clinton era was a historical accident brought on by Bush Seniors insane decision to raise taxes.”
The biggest mistake Ronald Reagan ever made was agreeing to have George H.W. Bush as his Vice President. The Reagan people did not really want him, but felt they needed a moderate to balance the ticket.
Unfortunately, Bush was able to insert many of his own people into the Reagan Administration, including James Baker as Chief of Staff. Reagan, IMO, would have been a much better President had he chosen someone else as V.P. Instead, Reagan’s conservatism came to be watered down.
George H.W. Bush deserved to be driven from office. The legacy of the Bush family is that they were able to hijack the Conservative movement in the GOP and steer power back to the Romney/Rockefeller wing.
the better politician in the Clinton family
Clinton couldnt keep his thing in his pants. Hillary doesnt have that problem.
That has nothing to do with politics. That has to do with ethics, something Democrats don’t find important.
“Yee-HAW! Independents and Democrats didn’t show up for McLame. Finally, a REPUBLICAN won.”
Including all of the gay perverts, who became an independent for a day to vote for McAinal, like they did in 2000.
In reading up on Romney's race against Ted Kennedy for Senator, guess what? Kennedy was not shy at all about bringing up the sticky questions about mormonism -- especially the racism thing.
The Dems are probably reviewing old Kennedy/Romney attack ads right now.
And Romney LOST to Ted Kennedy.
“That has to do with ethics, something Democrats dont find important.”
Does any politician today find ethics important? Certainly not Mitt Romney.
Let’s face it, they (Democrats and Republicans) are , for the most part, a bunch of crooks and liars.
Sometimes the filth of corruption is so bad, many of us consider not voting. Only a few shining stars like Reagan keep us involved in the process.
Maybe, we are moving away from allowing a couple of small states and the mediots to select our presidential candidates.
That has to do with ethics, something Democrats dont find important.
‘Does any politician today find ethics important? Certainly not Mitt Romney.’
What? Romney has a great marriage thats more important to him than public office, unlike the Clinton’s who you cited.
Bush has a great marriage thats also more important to him than holding political office now that you mention it.
Same for Thompson, Huckabee as well to be honest.
I don’t see how you are able to even remotely compare it.
Romney's father, very active in the civil rights movement, will offset any negatives about race and the LDS church. How many Republicans, have pictures of their mother with Martin Luther King? To the contrary, Romney will prove quite appealing to independents.
Your bias is blinding your ability to see Governor Romney's appeal as a presidential candidate.
But hey, when we began supporting Mitt Romney last January, we were told he wouldn't achieve the success he has already. The naysayers like yourself have already been proven wrong, and it is only the beginning of a long journey where Mitt will prove you wrong at many turns along the way, culminating with his nomination as the GOP candidate for the presidency, and his victory over Hillary for the White House. : )
See reply #458 and dream on.
BTW, Kennedy was the LONG TIME incumbent and Hillary is....not, and a very disliked not.
