“Kermit sure looks like Ron Paul. :)”

And sounds like Alan Keyes.

Fred has looked and sounded great tonight, imo.

This from Rich Lowry at NRO ~

Finally! [Rich Lowry]
Someone besides Romney says a discouraging word about Sen. McCain. But Fred’s jab on immigration was very gentle. Fred can eat into Huck’s support in SC, but can he beat McCain? Does he want to? Or to put it more precisely, does he want to do the things necessary to do it? I wonder. All of this is lining up beautifully for McCain, and tonight is just another indication of that.

Ron Paul is the big loser according to the focus group...hahahaha.
I think “Big Loser” sums it up perfectly for the personality too. Can’t stand the guy and I stick by my previous statement: Obama and Hillary would keep us safer than that kook. Sure they really suck but I would feel safer from an attack with them, they might have something to prove.
Paul just flat out tells us we shouldn’t fight back against those who want to kill us. That guy strikes fear in my heart.

McCain keeps trying to pretend that THE FENCE is our only concern on immigration.

No, my friend. It’s the path to citizenship we despise. You’ll have to address that eventually [I just hope it’s before the media coronates you!).

I don’t think a roundup is necessary, all they need to do is enforce a $100,000 fine and loss of business for hiring illegals....start with the fast food conglomerates and the problem is solved, build a fence and its game over and the economy takes a boost

The reason that might happen is that Evangelicals haven’t been given another viable choice. Giuliani, Romney and McCain are nonstarters do to their stances and/or history of social liberalism. Fred could get our support but doesn’t act like he want us (he didn’t even bother to attend the Values Voter Debate for example) - he could have come out as our champion tonight by attacking Guiliani’s social liberalism. Instead, he seemed to blame the split in the Republican party entirely on the Huckabee supporters (Evangelicals). So, basically, the reason that many Evangelicals are leaning towards Huckabee is that he seems to be the only front runner who actually cares about ending abortion or protecting marriage.
