Sen. John McCain said Sunday that the U.S. was wrong to “torture” al Qaeda 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shiek Mohammed, saying that torture shouldn’t be used against suspects even if they have extensive knowledge of terrorist operations planned against the U.S.

Amen - My hopes rest in him - I won't remark on some of the other leaders...waiting/hoping to see some of them 'retired' or 'reassigned'

Glad to see we agree on something. Unfortunately, Casey was promoted to Army Chief of Staff. Nothing like "screw up, move up." Thanks, Dubya.

For the third time, please answer this question:

For those in the military who vote Democrat in 2008 (5%-25% or more), are they traitors?

Okay. I get it. You pledged to vote for whoever you're told to vote for, even if it's McCain.

I know. Did you read the part about the Republicans being so “split” so they (Democrats) feel confident about their chances? Her “trackers” are reporting how divided we are sadly enough because of negative posts on this board.

LOL!

People are so easily manipulated, evidently. And we wonder why we have incrementally been taken towards socialism/authoritarianism. Duh!

blah blah blah. All I can say is grow up. We don’t just live in a world in which you stop people from getting elected because they disappointed you on your pet issue. We live in a real world, with real people, both parties have a candidate selection process and when you stay home to punish your party, the other party takes control of your country, in other words of your life and that of your family. And that other party believes in exactly the opposite of what you believe in.

I'm neither a purist nor a whore. McCain & Huckabee are unacceptable.

Not only is it amazing, it's downright sad to read some of the responses from some of these people. I wonder, has everybody forgotten the Clinton years?

Remember when Hilliary used the military to serve food and drinks at White House functions, fer cryin' out loud?

No, amazing doesn't even begin to cover it.

Most people - except the purists and the whores - have their acceptable middle ground. McCain and Huckabee are outside of my middle ground. Is that so hard to understand?

It's been incremental because we are split. There are some on this board who say our being split is a bad thing. They'd prefer we were all in agreement, and jumping off the cliff together.

I agree. Huckabee and McCain are unacceptable and Rush has revealed their deal with each other. Rudy also is unacceptable with his baggage, “virtual fence,” gun control, etc.

Do you always agree with whoever has the mic?

Who would you vote for, if you thought your vote mattered?

If I did vote for McCain I’d would be voting for a 3rd Party candidate!

I don’t consider McCain a true Republican based on his Record.
