According to Ron Paul forums, about 200 Paul supporters were part of this attack on Sean. They claim they were only throwing snowballs but the videos make it clear they were throwing bottles and other items other than snowballs.
Warning, foul language by Paul supporters.
EEE, I’m trying to be fair to everyone but your making excuses for everything Ron Paul has just gotten pathetic. A pack of loud, angry, cursing youths throwing stuff and chasing a guy down the street is vile, period.
A lot of the folks on this thread don’t seem to understand that Hannity and his friends were upset for a reason. When a pack of wild, screaming zealots comes charging in your direction, you tend to believe you run the risk of being attacked.
Had this happened to anyone else say a DEM supporting reporter being heckled by oh lets say Edwards supporters how many Hannity Fans in here would be laughing like Hyenas? Well how many? I'd say maybe a snowball or two tossed that was it. Big Deal. A few other common insults Big Deal so what? Hannity has used very strong attacks on Paul other than you suck attacking his patriotism. The Hannity fans yuk it up. Had it been more than snowballs tossed don't you think people would have been injured not only Hannity but others. Well DUH! Think people think!
As for the insults? So what? So if someone is FREEP'd it's OK But we should be sensitive of such a great Rudy shill as Hannity because he calls himself conservative?
Hannity is not fair nor is Hannity even close to being balanced in his treament of Ron Paul. He purposely attacks Ron Paul twisting his works like his hero WUDY. Hannity is a one candidate shill who tolerates all others in the GOP, adores Wudy and it is very obvious he does so, but has unprofessionally gone after Paul. But that's just fine in the eyes of some it seems. Hannity doesn't even belong in prime time much less on a national level. This article should be pulled and had it been even about a DEM candidate or any other GOP it would have been. It would not have stayed up 5 minutes.

A violent mob (as demonstrated by their throwing of rocks, bottles, snowballs, etc) against one man is more than enough justification in my book.

I didn't see anything being thrown either. It's amazing how it only seems to be the anti-Pauls that can see bottles and rocks being thrown.
This is not the FR of the early days.
Curiously if you look at join dates you'll notice that most Paul supporters are long-time FR members and most Paul detractors have only been here the past few years.
It IS pretty lame after all.

Look, everyone should vote for the candidate of their choice, and I support that. My comments were not about Ron Paul, who actually has a few good ideas, but about the wild nature of many of his "fans". Present company excluded.
They hate Paul because of his freedoms and prosperity. ;^)
