Fellow FReepers, please join me in prayer for a co-worker and friend's Father (Kurt) who slipped on the ice yeaterday and broke his hip. He goes in for surgery this morning. Thank you in advance for your prayers for his healing and for the family.

Prayers in Jesus’ Name for a smooth recovery and that all will go well. Recovery from hip fracture and/or sugery is not usually a short or easy road and I pray for patience for him and for his caretakers. I’ve seen very successful recovery in two people close to me, so it’s all worth it in the end! :)

Prayers for any kind of surgery these days.
I knew two folks who died as a result of infection after “routine” surgery.

Prayers up! I know it’s so painful when it first happens...but the transition/recovery seems to be such a relief. (after watching great grandparent and grandparent suffer through one)

The last information I received is that the surgery was on hold, waiting for parts (the surgeon did not like the particular joint he was supplied, and ordered something more substantial--for a man old enough to be my father, he is a very active fellow.)
I will update the thread when I find out more.
