They are admitting they dont think the republicans can win and they think Hillary or Obama will win.

I thought they said that Obama would win the nomination but that Romney could take him on.

The solution probably would have been for Fred to interrupt the others more to get his point in.

Too bad Fred hasn't substituted some hosting a talk radio program. It would have given him more experience explaining things on the spot.

“Massachusetts residents who remain uninsured in 2008 will begin facing monthly fines based on their age and income, according to new regulations unveiled by the Department of Revenue on Monday.”

This is clearly wrong. I would not support that, anywhere anytime.

Too bad. I like my system, of course!

That is my order as well. Hopefully, it will be Thompson though so I don’t have to hold my nose!! What is wrong with those idiots in NH that didn’t like Thompson after the debate? Weakest? Did they even watch the debate?

Fred Thompson is the only one who will unite all Republicans. There are no subgroups of Republicans who will sit out if Fred is the nominee.

That’s just not true of the other candidates.

I think some here are forgetting just how weak some of the undecideds in other debates (ie 2004) came across. This group addressed the issues, without the touchy-feely ‘take care of me’ sentiments the previous groups have expressed.

Certain people want this to be a coronation. They feel that it should all be over in the second inning. Anything that contradicts that will not be tolerated. The Mittbots are angry that anyone dares to disobey.

Well - to be fair, the focus group said what a lot of folks here were saying. In fact, at one point someone posted a picture of a Red Bull for him.

Fred said the right things, but this is an election and communication matters. We are wonks for politics and can look past that, the average voter wont. That is Freds problem.
That being said, I like fred, but hes got to and I mean got to pick it up down south or hes done.

True,,,but based on that focus group,,,,I’ll bet that many of those independents will vote for Obama and not McCain!!!!

Carl Cameron LIES.

He says "So many people were watching the Fox Debate here in New Hampshire.SO it gives them an incredibly good way to get to know the candidates."That is a lie. Several GOP candidates on the ballot were excluded. Including the third place candidate in GOP Delegate total. What a LIE!!

Too true. Fred has the substance but lacks charisma. Unfortunately in our superficial world, he cannot win the election.

Talking policy is “rambling” to them. If these people are representative of New Hampshire voters, then it’s time to revoke their “Presidential Gatekeeper” license.

Just look at the group. Are they average Americans? I think not. One 5 minute sound bite does not make a natiional election.

Let them eat chowder.

yes, the focus group comments on Fred are depressing, but are probably representative of the larger voting population as a whole. They DO want rock stars.

We think Fred did better than they did because we are for limited government and more conservative than the NH voters.

Yeah. If the group liked Fred, the Church of Thompson crew here would be praising them.
