Mike Huckabee supporters check in here.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:46:37 PM PST by Arcy

I for one am excited about Huckabee's leading and probably winning in Iowa! Here's a guy who has made REAL income tax reform a high priority of his candidacy. While some of the other candidates have claimed tax reform as part of their plan, non have been more passionate about the need for it and willing to make it a center-piece of their plan for America as Mike Huckabee. I believe that the average American has recognized in Mike Huckabee, a person of integrity and vision, a man who keeps his word, a man of faith, and therfore, is worthy of their support. He certainly has 100% of mine!

When he left the Governorship of Arkansas, only five (5) other states in this country had lower taxes than his own.

When he left the Governorship of Arkansas, only five (5) other states in this country had lower-rated fiscal management by their governors.

Mike Huckabee (R) Arkansas 46 F
Kenny Guinn (R) Nevada 46 F
Ruth Ann Minner (D)* Delaware 44 F
Michael Easley (D)* North Carolina 44 F
Janet Napolitano (D) Arizona 43 F
Kathleen Blanco (D)* Louisiana 43 F

This report presents the findings of the Cato Institute's eighth biennial fiscal policy report card on the nation's governors. The report card's grading is based on 23 objective measures of fiscal performance. Governors who have cut taxes and spending the most receive the highest grades. Those who have increased spending and taxes the most receive the lowest grades.

After all, your guy lied about a few things. Were you, as a Christian, ok with that?

What lie would that be? Why do you hate him? Is it because he is a Christian?

Hey Hucklebuckee George Washington had to be asked to return from Montecello to be President. He didn’t want the job either...you think maybe they shouldn’t have entrusted our nation to him?

I am a Mike Huckabee supporter and fan and have been for many weeks now. He is inspirational. I am thrilled with the Iowa results. Our country needs him. Like he said, “it’s not about left and right, liberal and conservative; its about up vs. down! (gist of his remarks). I love the way he quoted the Bible to Wolf Blitzer...”what would it profit a man if he gained the whole world and lost his own soul” (re: pulling the attack ad.)

He is witty and wise.

The LORD is blessing him. He would be a blessing for our nation. May he do well in New Hampshire and beyond.

And as someone who used to drive for a living, I VERY much appreciated what he did for the highways of Arkansas. They were the worst roads in the country. Now they are among the best. He brought that state out of its poverty and backwards reputation. He will do well with black voters, independents, Hispanics. If he can abolish the IRS, how great would that be!

Get behind him!

Good grief. Without even knowing what lies I'm specifically referring to you play the "hate" card and slip into the poor persecuted Christian mode. Thanks for allowing me to proove on this thread that what matters mostly is that he's a Christian and the issues be damned.

Yea, Thompson really is creating excitement. His enthusiasm is so high! How does he do it? dripping with sarcasm.

I agree. I love Fred Thompson, but he'd have to exit a limo commando-style before the press would turn a camera on him.

He is not a CONSERVATIVE, he is a liberal with an “R” behind his name. I am not voting for a RINO, and I will not vote for him.

Take that as you like.

Pro-life, pro-gun, pro-military, supports the war on terror, supports a border wall and on, and on, and on, and is "not a conservative."

Whatever.

Richard Haass, Huckabee’s adviser, is scary when he speaks of giving up sovereignty. Ed Rollins is a profane pagan and does not represent Christian values. Huckabee should get rid of those guys!

Maybe you should read these:

http://www.blogsforfredthompson.com/open-letter-all-conservatives-evangelicals-and-homeschoolers

Then this:
.”what would it profit a man if he gained the whole world and lost his own soul” (re: pulling the attack ad.)
AH but did he pull the attack ad? It ran in several markets...as well as he himself showed it to an invited room full of media. Disingenuous at best.

Then please tell me what made you a fan?

I’ve been disappointed with some of my fellow Freepers regarding Huckabee. If they have problems with some of his positions then fine, but some of the comments borderline on personal attacks, thereby breaking Reagan's 10th commandment. I’ll support the Republican nominee, whoever it is, but as for now, I’m supporting Huckabee. I love the idea of the Fair-Tax and how he isn’t afraid to talk about it. I almost get the feeling that some of the other candidates are afraid of talking about real conservative values. Huckabee’s a breath of fresh air to me.

Personal because Huckster is a Bill Clinton style fraud with a Republican label. He is lying duplicitous scum and supremely stupid about foreign policy. Same as Bill and Hillary, Huckabee could care less about foreign policy because it's all about buying votes via socialist programs

Huckster is just another Arkansas slicktser. I will never vote for that trashy POS con artist

Huckster isn't a Republican so I will say anything I want about him
Huckster is someone who just happens to run as Republican. He could just as easily run as a Democrat but he started out Republican and will stick with that. As long as he can gull enough Republican idiots

It's sickening to see two mediocrities at the top. Barrack Hussein and Huckster. This must be the best we can do these days

You seem to be confusing us with Ron Paul supporters.
