Edwards just picked up on something.

He claims this is about grassroots change.
I think the people do want an outsider, but they want a record to

he is claiming that Hillary spent 3 times as much as he did but he won cuz thats what “the people wanted”

Fred IS a grassroots change as is hucklebee and Obama, what John dont get, is that he is a ritzy psuedoincumbent. Fred is the real deal. and Huck could whoop Obamas narrow ass all daylong on quals. And Fred would whoop Obama on quals.

I think we have strong camp. Half the Dims caved in just one night. They got 3 non qual junior senators as frontrunners on their team

Huck is in the camp of those who are calling themselves “Progressive Christians”. It’s about being “fair” and making sure that everyone is “equal”.

That is false in my case. This is why I support Huckabee:

"What I accomplished as Governor proves that there is a lot more that a pro-life President can do than wait for a Supreme Court vacancy, and I will do everything I can to promote a pro-life agenda and pass pro-life legislation. If I'm saddled with a Democrat Congress, I'll veto any pro-abortion legislation they pass. I will staff all relevant positions with pro-life appointees. I will use the Bully Pulpit to change hearts and minds, to move this country from a culture of death to a culture of life. I have no desire to throw women in jail, I just want us to stop throwing babies in the garbage."

The GOP just need to get some balls and end the abortion slaughter after 35 years and then the issue goes away. If Reagan and Bush had not nominated Kennedy and Souter millions of babies would still be alive to vote against Social Security and you could be happy because we could all focus who would enervate the federal government the fastest.

Nah. Bashing lamps on Bill's head brings tears to her eyes.

And maybe a punch or two in the nose?

Former President Bill Clinton chats with reporters
at the Starbucks in downtown Des Moines ahead of
Thursday night's Iowa presidential caucuses, where
his wife Senator Hillary Clinton is in a tight race
among Democrats with Senator Barack Obama
and former senator John Edwards.

Gosh, I have seen you post this SO many times. Maybe YOUR first criteria is religion, but it’s NOT that way for the majority of Republicans, nor the majority of Americans either. And, maybe these people don’t pass YOUR criteria for who is a Christian and who is not, but ultimately that is up to G-d — NOT FOR YOU TO DECIDE!

Frankly, Huckabee wearing his faith on his sleeve is a liability for the GOP in a general election, and a liability for our COUNTRY in the state the world is in right now. It is also a liability for all Christians if he turns out to be as two-faced as he seems...

I don’t think many here appreciate your take on these things, really. I know I don’t and I consider myself a Proud Christian! I could care less whether you consider me one or not. We are not selecting a leader of our church, we are selecting a leader for our country. The more you tout religion the more you fall into the stereotype of the MSM and the LEFT, and that doesn’t translate well to the rest of the world.

Why not support a true CONSERVATIVE on political issues and leave theology out of it?

Good post !

Does anyone get the feeling that all the voting that went on tonight was a vote for ‘none of the above’ ?...

Just wondering what the next few States primaries will show.

It may be a zig and a zag from now til Super Tuesday....suppose the country still has not settled on any particular candidate?...we may see two brokered conventions ?...That would be interesting, and it could be a long process...

Not according to my unfan club hereon! LOL.

My forte is more saying things folks don’t want to hear because they refuse to bear the truth about themselves.

But I greatly appreciate your kind comments . . . assuming they weren’t sarcasm . . . and maybe even if they were. At least good for a laugh.

I hope you and yours have a Blessed New Year.

Some folks seem to think that my main influence on people is to send them screaming from ALL CAPS and blue characters! LOL.

Then there’s my pointedly fiesty candor! Oh dear!

I think Star Traveler is mostly passionate . . . perhaps so much so that orneriness gets in the way of wisdom or some such. But who am I to say anything about that! LOL.

Fred is now up by 295 votes with 93% reporting.

I think I talked about 10 of those into voting for Fred at the caucus site tonight. By the time we voted, they had already called it for Huckabee. I talked Huck's people into voting for Fred to push him closer to Romney.

For the story of Walter Martin, read this:

He is a pretender, a fake, and his literature is pathetic.

Well Tim... I guess when the Puerto Rican guy gets twice as many precincts as you do, it's time to get out of the game.

If only I was so clean, articulate and bright :-(

So why did Chuck endorse him. Did he NOT check him out thoroughly? Did he just trust the Christian professions and personna on the surface?

We had the pleasure of hearing from Chuck himself for over half an hour on yesterday's version of the "Huckabee 3 hour Commercial" on WHO radio. One of our local radio hosts decided to start pushing Huckabee back in October, and he has gotten free air time...with no one allowed to address serious concerns since then. Every, single, weekday for two months.

He played "fake" campaign commercials against Romney dozens of times per day (I'm not a Romney supporter). Huckabee, or one of his minions was on that show dozens of times...every time a negative story broke, this host allowed Huckabee to come on and LIE: "these are untruths spread by my political opponents.

Chuck came across as a complete imbecile; one particular comment that I remember is that we need to get rid of the IRS because the middle class pays over 80% of the taxes. Smart, he most certainly is not.
