I was thinking of the November report that The Arkansas Republican assemblies had voted 80% for Fred and 4% for Huckabee. http://arkansasgopwing.blogspot.com/2007/11/arkansas-republican-assembly-endorses.html

Romney had a disappointing night, but for a northeastern Massachusetts candidate to garner 25% of the Iowa vote and come in 2nd is no small feat, even considering how much he spent. Had he spent little or average money there, he’d have finished 4th at best and possibly eliminated from contention. As it stands now, he’s still healthy and alive. (Editors note: I’m a Thompson supporter first and foremost)

I think he made a mistake with the negative ads in Iowa. We shall see how it plays out. He did beat McCain and Thompson by 12.

Get a hold of yourself. No one with the name of Obama is going to elected President any time soon. That was a bunch of left leaning Democrats voting.

I see what you are saying. Oprah is the most overrated person in American history. All hype and that’s about it. These googly eyed folks are not that numerous. How many red states can he take?

Flash report! From WHO TV in Des Moines

Republican totals haven’t been updated in over an hour..

there’s an ongoing incident at the Secretary of State’s office...something about an angry man with a sword...wearing a John McCain mask.

No, now state troopers are saying it is John McCain

I’ll keep posting..

I’m not giving up on Thompson. He’ll still get my vote in the California primary. And since this state is over run with illegal aliens, he should do better because he,s the only other candidate besides Hunter who’s strong on border security. I pray for a Thompson Hunter ticket in 08.

Romney is stuck up...

He thinks he is better than the rest of us ...

He showed it in the debates...He thought he was there to walk on water...

How is he a "better candidate" ??? Because he can speak?

Yes

The man was raised in a madrasah

No he wasn't. He was raised in Hawaii.

He already blew it by saying he would invade Pakistan

So would anybody who wants to win the war. How is that "blowing it"? Pakistan should have been destroyed years ago.

Exactly what separates him from the others?

He's not Hillary, and owes Bill nothing.

Do NOT under any circumstance read the Politico “Iowa leaves GOP in Disarray” piece. All breakables in your house will thank you for your restraint.

How the Republicans will do depends on who they nominate. All my thinking about matchups has been GOP candidate vs. Hillary. The considerations vs. Obama are different. How different remains to be seen.

Can you imagine, with an Obama nomination, a Romney resurgence? Can any of us imagine what a heyday the MSM & Dems would have with that?

I mean here the GOP would have a candidate, who as an adult was part of a church who said that blacks & Africans & other "people of color" were "cursed" skin-color-wise because their "pre-existent" spirits remained neutral in the war of heaven & were therefore less "valiant." (As an adult Romney was part of a church that said: No black priests allowed)

(It's not just that many historical comments reflect badly on LDS leaders...but LDS cannot shed verses in the Book of Mormon which talk about skin color as a curse for the Lamanites--which Mormons regard as Native Americans)

If we could start a national campaign to get folks signed up for FreeRepublic, where ever anyone came down they would at the very least be completely informed. Bypassing the MSM for the new media is where the war of this Countries future lies.

today, listening to the Frank Luntz interviews... it’s bad out there.

= = =

I don’t have TV any more . . . but I think you are quite right.

Susan Estrich is really what Helen Thomas would look like after an EXTREME MAKEOVER. Tonight she has more bondo on her face than a 63 Chevy
