"Breaking News The U-nited N-imrods just condemned the killing in their harshest language."

I'm sure the killers are just quaking in their boots. /sarc.

The UN just condemned the killing in their harshest language.

Well... I am now waiting for the resolution to send 300,000 fully-armed arab "peacekeepers" to enforce their pacifist tendencies...

Guess he forgot about the assassination of Ahmad Shah Massoud

good point. I believe he was assassinated on 09-10-2001. Massoud was a true Warrior poet.

"Yes, and it was done to clear the decks for a big operation, as well."

That's the first thing I thought of when I heard about today's assassination.

...and the hilary camp breathes a sigh of relief. Another gaffe narrowly averted. They owe it all to you, Fernando!

Gee, here I thought that Al Qaeda was a problem.

Yup.
Just like the gun that killed Benazir Bhutto is a problem.

As someone earlier commented (with a straight face), this is what passes for "thinking" on much of FR...

I am underwhelmed.

My label is totally accurate, as evidenced by their actions.

People do things. Labels don't. You deal in labels a lot.

Excellent post. We do have a scary situation, and Thompson was not afraid to say it: THIS IS A WAR. And it’s a world war. And you are right: if it’s AQ today, it’s only part of the plan. I hope the powers that be know what they are doing to keep us safe.

I didn’t see this posted anywhere but from the generally reliable (especially on foreign issues) Economist:

“Alas, her supporters are now likely to blame her killing on the same shadowy army elite. And with stronger possible justification: Miss Bhutto’s killer is alleged to have approached to within 20 yards of her car, carrying a gun, dressed in a police uniform. At the least, such a lapse in the security afforded to Mr Musharraf and his supporters would be unimaginable.”

No, you and your Al Qaeda-is-a-scapegoat "thinking" is underwhelming.

It took only 1 car bomb to have the UN flee Iraq.

“The UN just condemned the killing in their harshest language.”

So now, in an unprecendented show of solidarity, the UN will hold “talks” to discuss this “possible insurgent attack”.

Breaking on Fox News: John Edwards spoke with Musharraf and is about to address reporters.

The anchor says and I quote:

“How in the world does John Edwards have a direct link to Musharraf?”

My wife owns a steyr s-9. Great gun, very reliable, light, clever sights. I’d recommend.
