Rumor circulating on the Fred08 blog that there is going to be a major "surprise" announcement coming this morning.
Perhaps an NRA endorsement or a major political figure?

Well, whatever the announcement is, I suddenly can't get to Fred08.com, so it looks like a LOT of folks are interested in it.

The MSM/Dems are, by nature rather shallow. Besides Fred being a conservative, they also fear his “star power,” real or imagined.
Since all they have to tout are populist policies and meaningless credentials, they put a lot more emphasis on personality and name recognition. They are shallow and they think the American people are ignorant and shallow.
They DEPEND on those voters to win and don’t want to lose any of them to a movie/TV star.

One does not have to be a Republican to be conservative.
Thats the problem with politics. Either left wing or right wing. No middle of the road.
Political profiling takes one issue voters and places them in the category with multi issue voters. I would like to think I am independent of having to choose a party affiliation. We seem to either vote for Evil, or the Lesser Evil. That is not much of a choice when it comes to the most important job in America.

Only a gut felling, but you are right. If Fred should drop out after Iowa, he will definitely throw his support to McCain.

You know, a while ago, I may have resigned myself that if Mitt were the nominee, Id hold my nose, pray for my soul, and pull the lever. But after witnessing the screwball Mittwitts on FR, there is no way Id vote for a candidate that attracts so many crybaby, pants-wetting, punk b!tch whiners. Im not saying all Mitt supporter are like this. But a good number here on FR are a few fries short of a happy meal. Just LOOK at the percentages of member Mitt supporters, then figure what percentage are "crybaby, pants-wetting, punk b!tch whiners". They DO get around, don't they?

I got to the site, and the latest news is:
Today at 6:30 PM CST, the second leg of the The Clear Conservative Choice: Hands Down bus tour begins with a Meet Fred event at the Windrow in Creston, Iowa. Fred will be on the road today through the Caucus on January 3rd.....

On Romney’s position on Guns you should add his quote from the May 2007 debate....I support the 2nd Amendment and an assault weapons ban.
It’s easy to find the exact quote because it’s on his “Ontheissues” record.

They DEPEND on those voters to win and dont want to lose any of them to a movie/TV star. You know, that's a good point. In a national election, I wonder what percentage of the vote would go to "That guy from Law and Order".
IMHO, 80% (or more) of being president is just acting presidential. That's why Reagan did so well, and why I think Thompson would excel at it, too.
