Fred’s gaining, although not fast enough to win. I think he will have a strong 2nd or 3rd place in Iowa with a bit over 20% of the vote.
I don’t think Fred’s goal is to win Iowa...just get high enough to keep himself alive and in the game as the primaries continue afterwards.
A strong showing in Iowa is all it will take to get the ball really rolling. A strong second or, if lightning strikes a weak first, would so shock the MSM that Fred! would have more free media than he would know what to do with and his national numbers would change with the increased coverage.
He will go into the Caucus polling in third or fourth, the next day he will be a strong second or possible first.
If he were doing better in the polls I would get nervous, this is Fred we are talking about, he has always polled like crap right before winning the vote...
Winning in Iowa is not the be all .. end all. It’s just one race in a sea of many. No reason to get defeatest if Fred doesn’t “win” in Iowa.
Today while I was watching Brian Wilson on FOX - he said that he’d talked to a reporter from DesMoines - a man known to have good instincts for what’s really happening on the ground - and this reporter told Brian that Fred is making good gains in Iowa.
So .. let’s not count Fred out just because the media cannot seem to bring itself to acknowledge Fred is even a viable candidate. The media is stupid and has their own agenda .. let’s please not follow their example.
