The thing about Iowa is that the one that wins is the one that comes out with the Big Mo, usually the candidate that has the biggest jump in support over what the polls predicted. Fred is in the position more than anyone to capitalize on that.
Fred has a history of doing that...
If we went with polls he would never have been elected Senator by 20% of the vote...
Hunter/Thompson 2008
“The thing about Thompson is that he hasnt yet been drawn into the ME ME ME tac that the rest have”
His new Christmas ad is a great illustration of this. He made all the other politicians of both parties look silly and small.
Sounds like an excellent grassroots operation. Folks like you have given the US great leaders the likes of Reagan.
Winning in Iowa is not the be all .. end all. It’s just one race in a sea of many. No reason to get defeatest if Fred doesn’t “win” in Iowa.
Today while I was watching Brian Wilson on FOX - he said that he’d talked to a reporter from DesMoines - a man known to have good instincts for what’s really happening on the ground - and this reporter told Brian that Fred is making good gains in Iowa.
So .. let’s not count Fred out just because the media cannot seem to bring itself to acknowledge Fred is even a viable candidate. The media is stupid and has their own agenda .. let’s please not follow their example.

I ran into an old friend at Church today, while were were decorating for Christmas. She and I are both conservative Republicans, and she asked me who I liked for this election. I told her I was a FredHead. She said she’d seen him on some TV show the other night and that she really liked what he had to say!
Yeh, sympathetic video, but I could KILL that piano player. He messed with the chords to “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” to where it sounded more like “We Wish You A George Winston Christmas”! Yiuk!
Yeh, but he took three days off for Christmas out of state! He could have spent the three days in Iowa with his family and kept his persona where the cameras would see him! He’s be-hind, and he aint’ gonna catch up and pull ahead without working harder than those ahead of him.
I only talked to one person at church about this and there are two votes at their house for Fred plus her mom and dad and his mom. So there’s five more. The encouraging part is that of those I talk to, Fred is the only candidate receiving any votes. He’s not having to share them.
I doubt vey seriesly if the voters in Iowa will begrudge Fred three days with his family at Christmas.
