A quote from Ron Paul's speech at Politics and Eggs breakfast airing on C-Span now (actual comments aired appx 9:25 pm EST):
"A president has a responsibility to, uh, you know, retaliate against an attack. I don't think there's been a good example of a need to do that throughout our whole history."

Id still like to see the video of RuPauls comments...

Yes, exactly, and a firm "non-interventionist" point of view leads ineluctably to the conclusion that we had no business attempting to stop Japan from her aggression in those countries. And that's really the crux of the matter. The question is to what degree of non-involvement may we adhere to until the world comes crashing down upon us anyway? Saying that that sort of thing "wouldn't" happen is the recourse of a theorist blind to history. Of course it would - it has.
I don't wish to be unfair to Paul here and will allow his enthusiasts to defend him as they might. Perhaps I misconstrue his, or their, position on the matter. But it is a real problem and has been since the ink was still wet on the Constitution, and unless Paul and his people can come up with a coherent policy to address it they're not going to gain any traction in the foreign affairs arena.

An internal investigation into which neo-con staged the attack, followed by a formal apology to the Empire of Japan for America’s continued existance. ;-)

That is the best analysis of this RuPaul jerk that I have read.

Ron Paul must have missed the Hale Bopp comet when it came through last time.
He’s nuts!

Paul is good on limited government. But he's a loon on national security. Limited? This guy seems to want no government.

This is the kind of thinking that makes it impossible for me, and many others, to even consider Paul for president.

LOL, why are you so obsessed with Ron Paul?
Is it an obsession to point out the fact he's subverting the GOP nomination process by pretending to be 180 degrees out from what he claims to be?
Would you rather we ignore him so that he can pull the same crap as Perot did in 1992 and we get eight MORE years of the Clintons?
Thanks but no thanks.

"
Trust me, its going to get weird."
Let's play 'hide the Thorozine' and invite Kucinich's wife to join the game. For cheap thrills, of course.
