A quote from Ron Paul's speech at Politics and Eggs breakfast airing on C-Span now (actual comments aired appx 9:25 pm EST):
"A president has a responsibility to, uh, you know, retaliate against an attack. I don't think there's been a good example of a need to do that throughout our whole history."
I think things will cool down around here after the primaries are over and we have a candidate.
>>>>But, to my second point, do you also think that we need a stock of first strike weapons and the the executive should have wide latitude to use them with out the interference of congress?
What do I think? You are way to smart to be a Paulista.
I think you are a newbie here, a liberal stalker a few years (or days) out of (or into) an education at a very liberal school where you and others who confuse long hair with long neural strands sit in awe of professors who haven't a clue what the real world is really like, a person who loves to try to impress us with his big words, who wants to get Conservatives fighting among ourselves so your Goddess Hillary can be elected.
Ha-ha
No, we don't need t-shirts.
And since that is such old news it hardly qualifies as "what's next".
Actually, what's next for the Paulnuts is the Iowa caucuses.
See you there (if you're an Iowan).
“FDR had foreknowledge of the Japanese attack, but chose to allow the fleet to take the hit.”
Care to cite your source?
No, and is that rather incindiary question attempting to tie FDR to GWB somehow?
Hmm..
Since I've never visited that site, I guess I am safe. Good!
May I assume you have seen it?
Giant Red Flag alert!
What we really need is somebody with the domestic policy view of Ron Paul and the foreign policy view of Duncan Hunter.
Just puttin' it out there...
Care to cite your source?"
If I thought you might actually have an open mind and want to read it for yourself, I would be happy to dig it out and send you a link, but as I already have considerable experience with the Paul bashers here, I presume the reason you want my post is so you can find some weak point with which to continue your bashing. So I guess you'll just have to do the research yourself, sorry.
But then, when you find it and read it, you can go argue with yourself because you still won't believe it.
Thanks for the link, TSR.
Now just wait for the dispute to follow.
Wow, man! It’s on the Internet and everything! It must be true!
Glad to know that Paulnuts are Pearl Harbor truthers, too! Another reason to enjoy your sorrow when Paul crashes and burns.
So then, are you saying you prefer that the truth remain obscure?
Assuming an affirmative reply, then that would make you and your ilk "Lib-Lie-Likers".
Or perhaps "Globalist-Baloney-Preferers".
Or would you prefer; "Blindly-ignorant-U.N.-Bots And Liking it"?
But whatever you do, just don't read anything, or your status as "useful idiot" (a-la Lennin) would be questioned.
Incendiary? If a person thinks FDR was responsible for the deaths of 2200 at Pearl Harbor, it is entirely conceivable that person might think that GWB would sacrifice 3000 at the WTC. Neither is any more incendiary than the other. You do admit that there are those that do believe that GWB was complicit in 9/11 in order to expand the powers of the US government?
No, I’m saying that your “Pearl Harbor was an inside job” stuff is pure bullshit. It has been debunked many times by serious historians.
People who don’t understand how the world actually works are easy prey for conspiracy theories and for whackjobs like Ron Paul.
Must have been a different war than the one I learned about. Texas was independent for 10 years by the time of the Mexican war. The Mexican war was over California.
The worst type of history is 50 years on “eyewitness” first-person historical narrative. Most of this stuff is just total hogwash, with a lot of it being completely made-up. If you’ve followed the history of WWII, you surely have seen all the instances of fakers being exposed on all sides.
Wow, all this nonsense and not from Lew you say? Why am I having a hard time believing that.
Yes I am familiar with it as I have debated far more nuanced Istas than you, who were well versed in the conspiracy theory websites.
Now be a good la-la-Libertarian and head off to the site (huge Dr. Ron supporter), then search Pearl Harbor and the crap you regurgitate here will magically appear on your screen.
