YouTube video via Drudge- Ron Paul quote this morning on Fox and Friends- "When fascism comes it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross. "
Yes, and fascism was sold as an antidote to Communism.
The New Deal was pushed through with this 'nationalist' view, that we need to 'pull together' and keep the communists from taking over.
Conservatives don't distrust Paul because he's against the things you listed in your post; it's because he believes that he is so far to the right, that he often ends up going full circle and ends up on the far left. And this is a perfect example of it.
Yeah, well, I responded IN context. But don't let that throw you off.
The context was a throwaway line meant to excite or prejudice, and the quick lame-ass qualification. "You know, Dan, invading forces often rape and kill the locals. Now, I'm not saying our Marines actually raped and killed anyone in Haditha, but, you know, I'm just saying it happens."
It's sleazy and despicable and we see right through it, much as Ayn Rand, who I referred to in my earlier post, was able to do as she dissected and exposed such dishonest reasoning to the light of day.
Their testimony constitutes a primary source of information from "over there".
Um, Tancredo? Hunter? That's right, they don't exist. Paulites can only toggle between Paul and GuiliHuckaMitt.
You get nothing, arguing with a moron is an effort in futility. I would rather argue with my dog, she is smarter and better looking.
Use the search (by poster) feature for “Allegra” ...
Well said. Sadly it’s not the first time and it won’t be the last time either.
Thanks for sparing me... lol. At least somebody else sent me a link ;). But, to be honest, the pace here is a lot quicker than I’m used to. Especially when you are as controversial as I seem to be in this crowd, it makes it hard to keep up.
Thanks for the help and I’ll check this stuff out. In the mean-time, if you want to check out the stuff that I’ve been reading a lot about since earlier this year, check out http://www.reason.com. It’s a “libertarian” website. They can be a little harsh, too, but they grown on you, as I’m sure you all will on me.
Funny how the Paulistinians are always having to go behind him to “clarify” his gaffs.
I was watching it and saw and heard it. I parrot nothing!
I support Fred, but have contended that I would support any GOP candidate except Rudy McRomney if he gets the nomination.
I'm now officially adding Rupaul to my list of unsupportable candidates.
That sounds more like a book that Ron Paul would be familiar with.
lol... Wow. There’s no faith here anymore, huh? Honestly, this is my first day on this site. I was directed here from my regular libertarian website (http://www.reason.com) by somebody saying Ron Paul was a racist. Will you believe me now?
and don't forget the qualifier.
Patriotism and Christianity are the new evil in the eyes of liberalism.
It did come to this country, and it was wrapped in the flag, carrying a cross.
In his Sept. 24, 1935 letter to the Rev. A.F. Whitehurst of Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Roosevelt wrote, "I am particularly anxious that the new Social Security Legislation just enacted, for which we have worked so long, providing for old age pensions, aid for crippled children and unemployment insurance, shall be carried out in keeping with the high purposes with which this law was enacted."FDR continued, "We can solve our many problems, but no one man or single group can do it, - we shall have to work together [clergy and government] for the common end of better spiritual and material conditions for the American people."
Can't you just hear the Star Spangled Banner playing in the background?
Roosevelt went to Groton School, an Episcopal boarding school in Massachusetts. He was heavily influenced by the headmaster, Endicott Peabody, who preached the duty of Christians to help the less fortunate and urged his students to enter public service.
Is making this observation somehow "leftist," when it was FDR, the biggest leftist of all American history, who imposed it upon our nation?
I remember Reagan appealing to Democrats and that is why he won in a landslide!
So did Ike and so did Nixon.
It's the last refuge of a scoundrel.
Psssst....wagglebee. This Paulestinian is all hopped up about other people's candidates. He thinks we belong to rival cults or something.
It unhinges this particular Paulestinian if you don't divulge who "your candidate" is.
Just thought I'd tip you off with a new method for having a little recreational fun. ;-)
and so did ronpaul, oops maybe not so much.
