Huckabee Son Hangs Dog, Father Fires Cop
Rat Tube / Newsweek ^ | 12/15/2007 | Michael Isakoff

“……..But John Bailey, then the director of Arkansas’s state police, tells NEWSWEEK that Governor Huckabee’s chief of staff and personal lawyer both leaned on him to write a letter officially denying the local prosecutor’s request. Bailey, a career officer who had been appointed chief by Huckabee’s Democratic predecessor, said he viewed the lawyer’s intervention as improper and terminated the conversation. Seven months later, he was called into Huckabee’s office and fired. “I’ve lost confidence in your ability to do your job,” Bailey says Huckabee told him. One reason Huckabee cited was “I couldn’t get you to help me with my son when I had that problem,” according to Bailey. “Without question, [Huckabee] was making a conscious attempt to keep the state police from investigating his son,” says I. C. Smith, the former FBI chief in Little Rock, who worked closely with Bailey and called him a “courageous” and “very solid” professional…..

I hope this isn’t true but in the US, you can lie, steel, deceive, slander, cheat and manipulate but hurt a dog and your toast

Hurt a dog? If someone hung you(or someone you loved, but I doubt you are capable of such), slit your throat and pelted you with rocks until you were dead, would you feel hurt?

There is a simple love of life, respect for life, that is required.

It need not have been a dog and I'm willing to bet there are a few creatures who wish they had not run into young Huck.

And yes, you can lie, steel(how does one do this), deceive, slander, cheat and manipulate a dog. You cannot torture one.

Topics like this separate those with respect for life from deviants and hypocrites.

It’s possible that there was some low level of abuse that I wasn’t aware of. But there could not have been persistent or severe abuse without any of us noticing. If abuse was the primary cause of his psychopathic behavior, how much abuse would it take to cause him to nail small animals to a board and spend the day slowly cutting them up alive?

Is this the same son that tried to sneak a handgun onto an airplane?

I don't think the story here is really Huckabee's screwed up son, but the accusation that Huckabee used (abused) his office to pressure law enforcement and the courts to give his messed up son a pass.

Sorta like Pappy O’Daniel and his kid in “Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?”

Now that you mention it, yep, I see the similarity. I also think that Mike *wishes* he could look at that kid and say: "There ain't no way, NO WAY that you could've come from my loins. The first thing I'm gonna do when we get home is punch your momma in the mouth!"

Alas, Flounder's parentage is all too obvious.

When I first read his post, I flared in anger. I could not believe he was 1) actually proud of his actions and 2) so ready to dismiss the cruelty of Huckabee's son as common behavior.

I will never understand it.

You have me interested. This is as close as I’ve come to a real case. Yes, I know it’s hearsay from my perspective, but it’s going in my “strong maybe” file.

Can I trouble you further: from your observations ... any possibility of sexual abuse or bipolar disorder? How did the parents and sibs react?

Well, maybe. But three important caveats:

To embarrass the United States, Ishikoff fabricated and published the phony Koran-in-the toilet-story. He’s a proven liar.

Ishikoff is a secular Jew who hates traditional Christians. Huckabee is Baptist minister, in Ishikof’s twisted eyes, a legitimate target for disinformation.

Ishikoff is a liberal democrat and wants the democrats to win. He obviously fears Huckabee.

Mr G had a partner who was a psychopath. He was a rich kid, probably not excessively attended to by parents, but he certainly wasn’t abused. I knew his family, and his folks and grandparents were nice people. He grew up to be a “great businessman”, but he was ruthless, heartless, manipulative, greedy, sneaky, coniving and just downright evil.

When we got into partnership with him he was a “friend”. (we didn’t know who he really was.... by all appearances he was a charming guy) By the time we got our “divorce” he had destroyed friendships and friends of ours, destroyed our reputation, stolen 7 years worth of work, stolen the business, tried to break up our marriage, (he’d work better if he didn’t have a family, you know) and used mind control techniques on Mr G just for fun.

The battle to disentangle ourselves from him was so intense that it was worth it to just walk away from the business. We realized we would have to be as evil as he was to do battle in court. And it was just money. We’d make more.

Oh, and did I mention a stray cat that lived under our house had kittens. I adopted one of them, and when mommy cat came to try and kill it, I kicked it, and broke its neck. Yes, like most of you, I was a dumb teenager, who knew nothing about life except what a godless school system taught me.

You think that was a normal thing to do? Did you at least bury the poor thing? Sorry but I think that is beyond dumb! You sound very silly blaming school for the sin you committed in killing that cat. Own up to the fact you are a animal killer & it wasn't anyone's fault but your own. I hope you don't have any animals. Shaking my head. I wonder if you bothered to take care of the rest of the kittens. I may have been a dumb teenager once but I wasn't ever an animal killer. Most people don't brag about killing animals unless they hunt or the animal was a threat to them somehow. Did you have friends as a teen?

I guess your question is "how do I avoid responsibility for my own actions?"
I think you've turned the answer on it's head. I would hope.
