ORANGEBURG, South Carolina (CNN) Former President Bill Clinton said Monday that the first thing his wife Hillary will do when she reaches the White House is dispatch him and his predecessor, President George H.W. Bush, on an around-the-world mission to repair the damage done to America's reputation by the current president Bush's son, George W. Bush.
"Well, the first thing she intends to do, because you can do this without passing a bill, the first thing she intends to do is to send me and former President Bush and a number of other people around the world to tell them that America is open for business and cooperation again," Clinton said in response to a question from a supporter about what his wife's "number one priority" would be as president.
A spokesman for the George H.W. Bush was not immediately available to comment on whether the former president would chip in some diplomatic help after his son leaves office next year.

Thanks for posting! I knew that G.H.W. Bush would never say such a thing but most here are more than willing to believe it.
I think that Bush the father associated with Clinton on the charity stuff to keep his eye on him and keep him (as much as possible), from criticizing the President.
The Bushes have CLASS...the Clinton have NONE...well, maybe LOW class.

Great. Is there anything left over that the Chinese didnt buy from you the first time around?
I agree.
Exactly right... I completely agree.
Former President Bush wholeheartedly supports the president of the United States, including his foreign policy. He has never discussed an around -the-world mission with either former President Bill Clinton or Sen. Clinton, nor does he think such a mission is warranted since he is proud of the role America continues to play around the world as the beacon of home for freedom and democracy, Becker said. President Bush is excited about several of the excellent Republican candidates running for President, and looks forward to supporting their candidacy once the Republican nominee is determined.
That’s for sure. Thanks ImpBill.
I don’t like to harp on it, but I am more inclined to agree with this than may folks here are. I thought Bush was a major mistake in 2000, and I continue to see him in those terms.
Bill Clinton enjoys telling lies. His ego knows no boundries. What a disgusting human being.
Rush indicated on the show today that GHWB said he never said that. However, the Drudge headline doesn’t reflect the response and denial of Bush 41.
According to Rush today, Bush 41 denied it but Drudge still has the original quote from Clinton as his headliner.
Antoninus, if better men don’t run, and the public doesn’t pick the better man, this will continue.
Bush had $70 million dollars in his war chest by about September of 1999. That was a huge obsticle for other candidates to overcome, and if you look at it another way, it’s a huge obsticle for the segment of the public whose heads are in the right place, to overcome as well.
I have grave concerns again this year. I am not convinced that the better candidate will win, and if we have come to the place where citizens can no longer understand who the better candidate is, then perhaps it’s time this nation move aside. It will not continue to lead on this course.

Parents shouldn’t play favorites with their “sons” like that.
EXACTLY!!!
Why in the world would anyone, EVER believe ANYTHING said by a professional conartist and pathological liar like Clinton????
Even if it IS on Drudge, why would anyone ever believe ANYTHING Slick would ever say?
