Col. Jeanne Assam said her hands were steady as she aimed her gun at a young man firing a high-powered rifle in the crowded foyer of the New Life Church.

And she prayed for divine guidance.

I was given the assignment to end this before it got too much worse, the volunteer security guard said yesterday, a day after police say the same man killed four people at the church and a missionary training school in a nearby city.

I just said, Holy Spirit, be with me, Assam said. My hands werent even shaking.

Did you catch the statement about the police saying he might have shot himself?

He comes to the church with 1,000 rounds, shoots two people dead, and says, ok that is enough killing & shoots himself? I doubt it.

I believe the police chiefs that are dead set against conceal & carry are thinking they need to bring Jeane down a notch and are spreading misinformation.

It would have to be misinformation, because the person who took the creep’s gun away (after the guard had shot him dead and he was sliding down the wall) said that the gun had jammed. So I think that rules out suicide.

All of the witnesses would have had to have gotten together in a matter of seconds and concocted the story about the woman taking the shooter out. Unbelievable!

The ny post is anti-gun (just like the ny slimes), so I think they tried to make it LOOK like this woman, who was NOT a current police officer or licensed security guard, WAS one of these "officials", by putting Col. in front of her name. It's probably short for Coloradan, but THEY want all to believe she is a Colonel, in my opinion.

Can't report that an AVERAGE LAW-ABIDING CITIZEN accomplished what she did, now can we?

I heard that this morning also—that the kid took one shot, then killed himself. I also heard that his body was found outside the church. Which is it?

The results the same either way, he is dead and dead is done.
Last week here in Alaska we had a guy kill his father with a machete, stole a truck, killed an innocent man in a totally random act, shot a woman jogger before police stopped him, I actually met the guy in a bar and a lot of people knew him, he just snapped.
I am wondering what real influences there are at work to create these people, its becoming almost a weekly thing.

Here is a real-live example of a “strong, confident woman”. You hear about them from the MSM, however they use Madonna, Christina Aguliorlaroaskank (sp), Sarah Jessica Parker, Oprah, and Hillary as examples. Those ladies couldn’t hold a candle to this brave woman.
I know she is going to go thru some tough times and I hope she gets plenty of support to re-affirm the righteousness of what she did...
