[I waited 45 seconds and actually posted something substantial--Ed.]
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. At least four people were shot outside of a Colorado Springs church on Sunday, but it was not immediately known whether the shootings were related to an earlier shooting about 70 miles away, authorities said.
wow....how could they not have seen him shooting himself with a shotgun????
Oh, most definitely!
LOL........I got the mental image of them each taking turns shooting ONCE as if this were some sort of polite duel......OF COURSE she shoots till she kills or seriously injures him and he can be safely be disarmed.
No way. Really? Looks like someone would have seen that.
i CAN UNDERSTAND it. Was glad I didn’t get sucked into it.
Still am!
Well, perhaps we’ll need to see if some other source corroborates this report.
In looking at the other news articles, most of them say “gunshot wound” and I wouldn’t put it past some of our local newsreaders to transpose that into “shotgun” wound.
We’re the 4-5th or so largest TV market in the US, but we still get some illiterates as news anchors. Not all, but some.
We’ll see how their story will undoubtedly change and morph into anything but giving credit to Assam. Regardless of the bullet which ended his life, Assam’s presence interfered with his plans; many more would have died had it not been for Assam.
That's my take on it, at least.
And the cost of a jury trial, and housing in a jail.
I was thinking more that his death was ruled a suicide to make things more simple in the long run.
Oh, I agree.
Or one of his IEDs. Obliterated his own self.
Ah, now that’s an interesting thought.
Well, here’s another “shotgun wound” mention - from the AP:

Filing a false report in a high-profile case is a good way to make your life a heckuva lot more complicated.
That might be a possibility... I remember Bourbonnais (the Vietnam Vet) had told Assam to “take a head shot” and she said, “No, I think he’s dead”. Perhaps, after Bourbonnais cleared the gun he decided to take the head shot himself just to be “sure” he was dead??? I don’t want to speculate much further than that, and it is speculation because no-one mentioned Bourbounnais firing any shots — although he asked the “paralyzed” male security guard to give him his weapon...
This is the only explanation, IMO, that would make sense. Someone mentioned that an inexperienced person clearing the chamber of the gun might say it was “jammed”. However, Bourbonnais doesn’t sound to me like someone who is inexperienced enough to mistake a “jammed gun” like that.
Wow, thanks!
It was the Vietnam Vet who stated that the gun was jammed, and that he cleared the chamber... Perhaps he “cleared” it into the perp’s head??? I don’t know it’s all speculation as to what could’ve happened at that point because none of the witness testimony mentions Bourbonnais firing the weapon — except when he said he “cleared the chamber” of the “jammed” gun... And, there was no witness statements that indicated that they saw Murray turn his gun on himself, either... Very strange... Unless Murray fired and was hit by a ricocheted bullet? Considering all the armor he had on though it would’ve been a “lucky” shot to have been killed by his own ricocheted round...
