Clinton Volunteer Quits Over Obama Email

WASHINGTON (AP) - A volunteer Iowa county coordinator for Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign has resigned after forwarding a chain e-mail that suggests Barack Obama is a Muslim who wants to destroy the United States by being elected to its highest office.

Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ and has never been a Muslim.

A hoax e-mail that has been widely circulated suggests Obama is some sort of Manchurian candidate for Muslims.

Judy Rose, a Clinton coordinator and Democratic Party official in Jones County, Iowa, forwarded it without comment to eight people on Nov. 21. Rose referred requests for comment to one of the recipients, Grace Zimmerman, who serves with her on the Jones County Democratic Central Committee.

Zimmerman said Wednesday that Rose sent it to the members of the committee to "show people how dirty politics is" and did not agree with the content of the e-mail.

"Oh heavens no," Zimmerman said in a telephone interview. "She just wanted the people who were concerned with the politics of Jones County to be aware of it."

Zimmerman said the Clinton campaign never talked to Rose about why she sent it but simply demanded her resignation after another one of the recipients decried the e-mail in a post on the liberal blog Daily Kos.

"There is no place in our campaign, or any campaign, for this kind of politics," Clinton campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle said in a statement Wednesday. "A volunteer county coordinator made the mistake of forwarding an outrageous and offensive chain e-mail. This was wholly unauthorized and we were totally unaware of it."

According to a release on the Clinton campaign Web site, Rose is from Anamosa, Iowa, and served on Clinton's Women's Leadership Council.

The Obama campaign declined to comment on her resignation.

The e-mail that Rose forwarded points out that Obama's father and stepfather were Muslim and that Obama lived in Indonesia for part of his childhood. But other parts of the e-mail are false - Obama attended public and Catholic schools in Indonesia, not a radical Islamic school. It is also not true that Obama used the Quran instead of the Bible when sworn into office or that he ever "admitted" to being a Muslim.

How does one go to a Islamic school and not become a Muslim?

Article claims he attended Catholic and public schools. Indonesia is much more secular than many Muslim countries, so their public schools, let alone their Catholic ones are not likely to push the religion of pieces.

I guess one could ask how he attended a Catholic school, and ended up with the United Church of Christ. (Most denominations with "United" in their name tend to lean left, sometimes very far left, as do some Catholic priests of the "Liberation Theology school, who got slapped upside the head by Pope John Paul II)

...forwarded it without comment to eight people on Nov. 21.

There's her mistake right there. If she was forwarding it to show how dirty politics have become, she just needed to add a few words' blurb at the top.

Eight people? That's one hell of a chain letter.

Well, there's only about 20,000 people in that county, if each of the eight send it to eight, and each of them send it to eight, and each of them send it to eight, and each of them send it to only four, that pretty much covers everybody.

Because Oprah likes him. I’m afraid it’s that simple. Really afraid.

Oprah has influence over only bonbon eating welfare mothers who are home to watch TV in the mid-afternoon. No one else.

Let her topple the Hildebeest, or at least get Barry O's numbers up enough so that black Americans will vote for the Green Party candidate (Cynthia McKinney, D-Mars) in retribution for Hillary's "theft" of the nomination from their homie.

Strange that the AP makes that flat statement of fact (ahem!) in the middle of the article. On what do they base that statement?

If I declare myself a candidate as a democrat presidential hopeful, would have just as good a chance at winning the nomination as Obama. Zero...

Hillary is the candidate, any other idea is sheer stupidity. This is also why the Dems are getting more money than the GOP right now. The Dems side, is decided, the GOP is not.

Oh Hil, you ought to make, "We were totally unaware of it" your campaign slogan. You were unaware of Paul, Hsu, the plants in the audience, and now this Obama email. We know you know, Hil. You are just a perpetual lier.

I don’t know. I think she gets a lot of the soccer mom types too. Those are the types paying for the tickets to fly to Chicago and get in her show.

“Oprah has influence over only bonbon eating welfare mothers who are home to watch TV in the mid-afternoon. No one else.”

True, not a real threat to Hillary. Most of them can be safely counted on not to vote, then express their alarm that their choice isn’t the one that got elected. They’ll say “I know that can’t be right, because everyone I know was going to vote for Obama!” Then when asked if they actually voted, they’ll hedge a bit and say they were busy, or didn’t think one vote would count, or that there were so many people voting for Obama they thought it was a sure thing. How do I know? I heard a whole heck of a lot of it after Bush beat Kerry. Fortunately, the idea that they should actually vote if they want their person to win seems unlikely to ever sink in with these people.

I think she gets a lot of the soccer mom types too.

While they were freaked out by 9/11 initially, they have turned against the GOP, since they have done a disconnect between the war on terror and the events of that day. It was, like, you know, so loooong ago, and by the way, there's a big sale at Kohl's today, don'cha know?

We don't have the stupid soccer moms any more, they're part of the "Vote Vagina" crowd whose chief reason for voting for Hillary is, "It's a woman's turn to be President."

If Oprah can sway them to vote for Obama instead, it will mean that the Beest will have to get much dirtier along the campaign trail. She's been notoriously poor at hiding her tracks, we didn't have the Internet during the HillaryCare crisis, and that's where she's stopped at, like GHWB was when he first saw a grocery scanner on the 1992 campaign trail. She will be exposed as being the one who is trying to trash Obama, and black outrage will follow. With McKinney willing to sop up the African-American vote, the way will be clear for a GOP Presidential victory. Even Rudy might pull it off, that's why we have to nominate carefully!

Sorry, I don’t want to disagree, but you are wrong. I know quite a few top drawer professional women who love Oprah, TIVO her shows while at work, and buy her magazines which are not cheap. Oprah has a tremendous influence over the majority of women and phenomenon I will never understand.

rat lies, rat gets caught, rat quits, new rat steps up, cycle continues. The beast never runs out of operatives willing to lie or commit crimes for her.

Considering her “joke” a few days before, I’d say this was just a continuance...and approved by Hillary’s demons.

“That said, Obama is touting that he only attended the Muslim school in Jakata until age 10...”

Yet, in kindergarten, age 5-6, Barack Husein Obama wanted to be President.

ONLY Obama can tell us if he is Muslim or not Muslim.....but all Muslims are taught they can say ANYTHING for their own safety in the furtherance of Islam -- so it would be expected an at risk Muslim would certainly LIE, making the question and answer worthless.

Why would America, at this time -- even consider the risk and danger in electing this unknown, unproven, naive, inexperienced and certainly unremarkable person?

Okay everyone - read it until you get it!

Also, we have another Muslim sleeper on track to get into the WH, hitched at the hip with Hillary - see my posts # 17 and link to link mentioned. I suspicion that the Huma path is more likely to be the modus operandi of getting a Muslim into the WH with almost ultimate influence and accessibility to all state secrets
