Thank God, indeed. I’m very glad that no-one appears to have been hurt - at least physically. I’m sure mentally and emotionally though the hostages will not be having a fun time over the next few days, weeks & months. Prayers for them, and prayers for the family of the perp. Can’t imagine what it would be like to have attention placed on one’s family like that...
I am a big promoter of press freedom since I once considered that as a career, but legally if the police ask you to stop filming, you need to do so.
The time to address the issue is later.
At that time, you need to comply. And in this case, I think the police have a point. The hostage taker could be watching news on the inside and know exactly when and where he will be attacked from.

What a horrible thing for Mr. Stanley and his family. I wonder who in the world decided it was him in the first place. I would NOT be happy with that person at all — especially after his “business” was aired nationally all afternoon. I’m sure this will help his condition - not... Poor man. Prayers for him.
