Police in Thailand said Sunday they have charged a security guard with murder after he admitted beating to death eight co-workers he discovered sleeping on the job.
Wittaya Jaikhan severely injured seven others in his violent spree, which began early this year, said spokesman Colonel Piyapun Pingmuang.
"He confessed to killing the victims because he hated those who take naps at work, and he thought they were taking advantage of their employers," Piyapun told AFP.

I may be in a minority here, but I happen to fully sympathize with the man. How do you expect the company to meet its targets and survive in the marketplace, when you sleep on the job, huh?! Bravo to this brave man!
We took all the doors off the offices on mahogany row because so many execs were taking naps.
A lot of the younger ones were having closed door sessions with the sectrataies.

Most workplaces have that low level dingaling that spends little time doing their own job and a lot of time worring about what everybody around them is or is not doing. I have the one where I work tagged with the name “schoolmarm”. I’m going to have to keep a close eye on schoolmarm from now on.
They could put him to work at any govt agency. An easy way to eliminate 50% of the workforce.
I read about this little guy and I am truly, well, speechless. I cannot think of a single thing to say except does this justify refusing to hire Thai men just in case. I mean I never heard a story like this.
