One longs for the bad old days when the Lebanese and Syrians were called "wily Levantines" rather than "Arabs." However, although real Arabs, like the Saudis and Kuwaitis might not agree, I would say the Lebanese are Arabs. Tough call. They have a great deal of European blood, many are Christian, and before they startd being overwhelmed by the Muslim birthrate, the place was a French-speaking cross between Malibu and Paris, complete with bikinis on the beach and lots of cool bistros and bars!

I have known a few folks who lived or worked in the ME for years (one of them called it the Muddle East). Their only positive comment on the muezzin was that he helped to set your watch to the caterwauling and that you could not oversleep in the mornings.

Yes it would be obvious that there are middle east christains, hmm it is not always easy to find them though.

Muslim men seem more up front than christain men. but then again i have dated any christain men.

I have worked with some people from Iran. They were good Christians.

People here on student visas, could be Christian. Some are. Iran had a fairly decent Christian populace at one time. I’m not sure what the populace is like today.

I’m not saying it’s easy. What I am saying is that when it comes to marriage, American women are taking a massive risk, if they try to play house with someone whose roots are in the Middle-East, unless they have religion in common.

Even then you run the risk of having your children ripped away from you to the Middle-East. Then it’s pure hell trying to get them back.
