French President Nicolas Sarkozy will give a speech before members of the US Congress on November 7 during a two-day official visit to the United States, Sarkozy's spokesman said on Friday.

"To be invited to give a speech before Congress is a very great honour which is given only exceptionally to a foreign guest. We are very honoured," Sarkozy's spokesman David Martinon said.

During times when the French are lead by a competent foreigner, France is at its best.

Roman Gaul prospered.

Napoleon (although born in the year AFTER proud and beautiful Corsica was sold to France by Genoa, good ol’ NB was more Italian than French) is the only Westerner who’ve conquered Moscow (my country, Sweden, conquered Moscow in the 17th century but this doesn’t really count as we just happened to support one side in a civil war like situation with a lot of troops).

Today, Sarkozy, a man of Hungarian-French-Jewish origin is the leader of France.

In case Hillary becomes president, the US will continue being the leading nation on Earth, but Sarko will probably be considered as the spokesman of our common Capitalist, Imperialist, Oppressive culture.

Go Sarko!

If Rino Arnold of Calyfornia, and Sarkozy of France were somehow both made eligible for the Presidency, my vote would go to Sarkozy.

How about Brice Hortefeux?

Cheers!

I just hope he's not introduced by the president of Columbia University. Thanks Cincinna.

Nicolas Sarkozy is French, not a foreigner in his own country. His father and grandfather may have been immigrants, but they all became French citizens. Sarko was born and raised in France.

If, God forbid, Her Heinous and her HINO take back the WH, Sarko will be the leader of the Free world.

More or less.

Political masters at work here, against political children.

Just for fun, what are the odds the Congress could ignore FRANCE?

Pass the popcorn, this is getting GOOD!

“Nicolas Sarkozy is French, not a foreigner in his own country.”

- OK, I should’ve made that more clear in my post I guess.

However, Sarkozy does naturally have much of a foreign background as his parents are immigrants, like we all know. I don’t think this means much and to the extent it does, it doesn’t mean anything negative.

All Jews as well as Hungarians I’ve met have been decent people.

So who has a link to the transcript of Sarkozy’s speech to congress? I’m looking for the sections where he talks about what America is all about...how your success is only limited by your own self...and nothing else. I’d love to see the transcript of this :)

Here’s what I was looking for:

America did not tell the millions of men and women who came from every country in the world and who—with their hands, their intelligence and their heart—built the greatest nation in the world: “Come, and everything will be given to you.” She said: “Come, and the only limits to what you’ll be able to achieve will be your own courage and your own talent.” America embodies this extraordinary ability to grant each and every person a second chance.

Here, both the humblest and most illustrious citizens alike know that nothing is owed to them and that everything has to be earned. That’s what constitutes the moral value of America. America did not teach men the idea of freedom; she taught them how to practice it.
