Well, the reality is that most of the time these aren’t debates. they are one upmanship contests and jockeying for the best soundbite. Under the circumstances, why should people watch the debates? I haven’t watched one yet. I’ve caught a few online vids and read some transcripts though.
i do think you have a responsibility to learn about the candidates and not let someone else tell you about them. But to do that you don’t actually have to watch a debate. Now, tonight, i would have liked to have seen strong viewer turnout just because someone, in this case Fred, finally listed Rudy’s long liberal record and rudy had no proper response. And I think it poor planning they chose tonight of all sports nights to hold it.
Other then that, not much was said that couldn’t be gleaned from legislative records, press releases or transcripts.
He just loses me with his bias for Rudy though. Three long hours a day, that's all he asks. Sigh. Really disappointing.
I'm watching the replay of the debate now. Sadly, Ron Paul is still very shrill. What a loon.
..notice the small amount of time he was given tonight...
LOL thanks!
B4JC!! :p
Duncan Hunter kicked Carl to the curb on trying to divide the republicans.
Not surprising whatsoever regarding time allotted.
Not really. Different groups have their different strengths and weaknesses. Don't be so PC.
Hannity is one of my least favorite conservative commentators, but your comments about him are just wrong. He’s hammered Bush on borders, spending, and Dubai ports, just to name a few items. He was also pretty vociferous in opposing Harriet Meyers (sp?) if I recall correctly.
Hannity isn’t an intellectual heavyweight, but he isn’t a lockstep GOP’r, either.
Hank
You mean like the lawyers who make sure the victim of doctor who screwed up, has the money to FIX the mistake or care for the mistake for the rest of the victims life? You mean like the person who otherwise would end up dead and burried but for the fact the settement money PAID for the treatments or repair?
You mean like the doctors who get their licenses pulled so they don’t BURRY any more mistakes.
You do realise EVEN before a malpractice suit can be filed there are prerequisits into reporting and mediation that must be fulfilled?
You do realise MOST ALL those jackpot suits you read in the papers are ultimatly set aside due to JURY errors?
even the McDonalds suit everyone uses as an example settled for 200 thousand and that was because the plaintiff knew it was going to be reversed. it was settled for the amount of money mcdonalds was going to spend.
People who have these malpractice claims spend their money on medicalbills. They don’t buy ferraris. They buy artificial legs when the doctor chops off the wrong leg. It pays for kidney transplants when the doctor removes the wrong kidney.
In wrongful death cases it pays for the loss of the earnigns of a father, or mother.
I guess not even Brooklyn Tabernacle was around, then. ;-)
he aint hammering rudy that’s for sure
What happened when McCain compared the Viet Cong to Jerry Falwell? (he aid Vietnamese to soften his answer). It didn’t play well at our house.
“notice the small amount of time he was given tonight...”
It was disgusting. Either libs of moderates seem to control most of MSM.
But what Hunter got to say was excellent as ususal. He said we need to mirror Communist China’s cheating on trade, etc.
And this showed Duncan Hunter’s great sense of humor while getting his point across:
“But Hunter said Romney’s health care proposals have too many mandates that drive up the costs of health care.
It’s got to have, for example, fertility coverage. Well, what if you’re 90 years old? We may appreciate Governor Romney’s optimism but you may not need fertility coverage,” The California congressman said.”

btw, I’ve been listening to Bill Cunningham on the radio, and he REALLY likes Duncan Hunter, and has around a million listeners.
Mel was in the front row but not right next to Charlie the liberal.
3 minutes? those rotten bastards.
If ending up with gay marriage, socialized medicine, taxpayer-funded abortions, the gay agenda in the schools, and a permanent assault weapons ban trips your trigger, I guess you're right! Shoot, he's more effective at passing the left's agenda than Hillary!
I think you missed the first question to Hunter, about 26 minutes in the debate (right after Tancredo’s first question). Hunter talked about the Democrats not helping the Cuban freedom fighters and Reagan helping El Salvador.
The PREBATE IS PART of the Fair Tax Scam. It is in their own literature. Neil Bortz has SPECIFICALLY talked about it being part of the fair tax system snake oil.
It is the pre-refund for the anticipated sales tax spending on government determined necesity items. What each person is anticipated to spend on sales taxes every month. Every resident of the USA will get this identical check.
If Huckabee supports the Fair Tax, HUCKABEE SUPPORTS THIS ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM.
nice try.

That's ONE problem. I have been a Tancredo supporter. I'd still be one based on his positions, with which I am in virtual 100% agreement. But he ain't gonna be the nominee so I have to look elsewhere.
I've been disappointed in him for another reason though. LISTENING TO HIM TRY TO EXPRESS HIMSELF IS PAINFUL!
We have a Maltese with a heart murmer. She gets along fine, but when she gets overly excited about something, she goes into a coughing jag until she settles down. Every time I watch Tancredo try to put a couple of sentences together, he reminds me of her! Stuttering, tripping over his words.....what the heck is wrong with the guy? He's been a congresscritter for 10 years and he freezes like this when asked a simple question?
I love ya' TT.....but geeze, please have somebody work with you on your stage presence!
Hank
The first question wasn’t in the video, but still a paltry amount of time given to Hunter.
