For about three (3) weeks now, I have notices an assinine, juvenile, cartoonish sound effect everytime the information bar updates at the bottom of the page. It happens when they change topics and is annoying as hell.
I'm a pretty patient guy and I gave it a couple of weeks hoping someone would complain or a producer would catch it, but apparently not. It just seems so unjournalistic and really detracts from what they are supposed to do...report the news.
When you add in the sophmoric, cartoonish, sound effects when you are talking about troops being killed in the WOT, it just makes me mad....
FOX NEWS, turn that crap off please.
Especially when Courtney Friel is on.

Agreed! The only show I watch on Fox News is Brit’s show, and this is the only show that I watch that I have to mute beyond the commercials. This sound of screechingly loud electric guitars overlaps into the show and plays on my nerves in the same fashion as a screeming infant. Keeping it muted about 4 seconds into Brit’s talking seems to be the only way to avoid it completely, which is also annoying, but not as annoying as the high-pitched ‘music’.

LOL....from my female perspective I am thinking “Oh great another blond with collagen lips and shorts skirts.”
Then there is the men perspective....most of them probably think the same as you.
When I think about it, there are no men on FOX that ever made my toes curl....one exception Tiki Barber...no longer Tiki Tuesdays ——sigh-——

*laugh* There I go on vacation for a couple of weeks and that is what I get for not checking posts to Me first. *grin* What I find most amusing about the original comment is that most of the ‘blondes’ are really dye-jobs. I just happen to like the sweet girls, so the blonde factor is not a concern here. I always found it especially amusing as well when a previous girlfriend would always get quite jealous when I always turned on Fox news, however.

Other channels do it also, and it is annoying as hell.
I can’t imaging some producer not knowing how irritating it is.
I DO change the channel. It IS juvenile and cartoonish.
