For about three (3) weeks now, I have notices an assinine, juvenile, cartoonish sound effect everytime the information bar updates at the bottom of the page. It happens when they change topics and is annoying as hell.
I'm a pretty patient guy and I gave it a couple of weeks hoping someone would complain or a producer would catch it, but apparently not. It just seems so unjournalistic and really detracts from what they are supposed to do...report the news.
When you add in the sophmoric, cartoonish, sound effects when you are talking about troops being killed in the WOT, it just makes me mad....
FOX NEWS, turn that crap off please.
I can’t tell. I am alwaays so annoyed by the drama-queen in mascara that I don’t hear all the other noises and such.

I haven’t noticed it, but I use the mute button a lot with closed captions.

I haven’t seen Fox in a while but the SFX is pretty common now, especially during sporting events when they update scores or news. I’ve heard it on ESPN, CBS and ABC a few times. I guess it’s to get your attention. It is pretty annoying.
You know the off - on button works wonders for me. In fact I seldom turn the media stations on except for local news/weather and quit listening to the radio talking heads years ago. Just my way of coping.

Radio talking heads are entertainers. Some of em admit it but they all take themselves wayyy too seriously.
Uh....Fox has been unwatchably childish since day 1.
I have been annoyed with FOX for a long time and only watch it on the rare occasion.....Does every female have to be blond?....
