Get some help.
As a Jew, I disagree with the substance of that statement, whether she actually uttered those exact words or not. No one is going to convince me otherwise under any circumstances, so please don’t waste my time or yours by trying to get me to change my mind.
As an American and a free person, I defend her right to say what wants to.
As a conservative American, I wish that she would occasionally engage her brain before she wags her tongue. Regardless of how much she may believe what she says is true (about nearly any issue), it seems to me that most of the time all she does is give the Leftist media and politicians a tool with which to bash conservatives and Republicans. In short, I think that her rash statements hurt the causes that she supports and in which she believes.
It’s amazing how powerful words are.
And make sure you are responding to what SHE SAID, not what Deutsch said, or what the headline writer said.
If you had ever bothered to find out you'd already know that this is all pretty much what's said every Sunday in every Christian church on Earth ~ even the ones at the fringe. (an exception may be the Episcopals ~ they're deep into Jesus Denial these days so maybe they don't talk about "going into all the world" and "teaching the gospels".)
This is about the 5th Ann thread today and like most is shockingly non-compliant with the rules.
Yes, but the more that she and people like her make statements like this, the more determined the Leftist Jews will be to stay right where they are. People like this scare them, and the Dems capitalize on it constantly. I agree with her most of the time (not this time), but sometimes she should learn the virtues of a well-timed STFU.
How?
The title in quotes doesn’t quite match what she appears to have said. I know Christians think Jews should become Christian. That doesn’t bother me, because I know what G-d told me to do, which He explains loud and clear in the Torah. Perhaps it is the history of forced conversions and mass murder which is the threatening undertone to the sentiment.
But there is a big difference between words and actions.
Secretly, she was hoping to be thrown over his shoulders. :)
I am amazed how easily self described non-Christians can be offended by essential Christian doctrine.
Whats it to them since they've chosen not to believe? And why do many become infuriated because there are those that choose to believe?
Replace your “Jew” with my “non-believer” and your post reflects my thoughts perfectly.
Guess it sells her books though. That’s what she cares about.
You are one of the Freepers I most respect, and I even agree with you that Ann can be an attention whore, but I disagree with you on this one. She's stating simple Biblical Christian doctrine as she sees it, and I agree with her. As another poster said, if it's true, there's no reason not to say it. And if it's not true, her words are of no consequence, so why get riled up by them?
She is entitled to her common Christian theology, but during an election year and a war on terror, what she sad was bad. Instead of attacking Henry Waxman, Hillary's money laundering, the Fairness Doctrine, the military haters, and Arab threats on Rudi Guiliani's life, this is another bad distraction. The left is jumping on everything as an excuse to push their agenda.
Having said that, it will give great fodder for the drive-by media to skewer anything that she says, and by proxy what the conservative movement says.
I can’t help but laugh at this one. Of course, leftwingnuts will go berzerk tonight over it, thereby giving her and her new book plenty of free advertising.
Don’t think much of this weeks Coulter column, but I do admire the self employed that are as creative in sales as she clearly is.
Amen, Bro.
Christ said: John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh to the Father except by me.”
The Apostle Paul said: Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other (than Jesus Christ) for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.”
I see no exception clause for Jewish people or anyone else.
She sounds like someone desperate to have something more shocking to say than “phony soldiers”.
As a Christian, I understand what she was trying to say but in general conversation you don’t say that because of the outrage it generates. This mirrors her previous comment about converting Muslims.
God’s ways are not man’s ways and there are things that only make sense from a Christian perspective but are sure to be rejected by those who do not share that perspective. I think Ann is smart enough to understand that but is making millions by being outrageous so she doesn’t mind who she insults while being outrageous.
You know the rules: where is the picture?
