Gunfire erupts at Cleveland high school

CLEVELAND - A gunman opened fire in a high school on Wednesday, and a witness said he saw three people taken out on stretchers.

Ronnell Jackson, 15, said he saw a shooter running down a hall at SuccessTech Academy.

"He was about to shoot me but I got out just in time," he said. "He was aiming at me I got out just in time."

Another student, Doneisha LeVert, said she heard the principal say "Code Blue" over the public address system, and the students started running. She said she hid in a closet with some of her friends.

Tammy Mundy, 38, who has a son and daughter at the school, told The Plain Dealer of Cleveland that her daughter called when the shooting started.

"She said, 'Mom they're shooting in here, kids are running out, I'm hiding in the closet,'" Mundy told the newspaper.

Then she called her 18-year-old son, Darnell Rodgers, on his cell phone, and he told her he had been shot in the arm.

"He said, 'Mom I got shot,'" Mundy told the newspaper.

Watching CNN, they had a student on who said he knew the shooter. The shooter said “F—k the world.” CNN had the F word broadcast live.

How did they get an interview with the shooter? He's allegedly dead. Or do you mean the student was saying that the shooter said that (prior to the shooting)?

The woman at the anchor desk said “Let’s go to Cleveland where I understand this is a school for gifted children.” I am not sure what she meant by “gifted” but the F word was spoken no more than two min utes later.

The interview was done by a reporter (maybe local TV) on site. She didn’t react too much but then the anchor from CNN — back in the studio — came on and he said something like “Well, obviously tensions are high...” CNN had a male and female anchor and then they sent it out to the scene where a female reporter interviewed the teen.

I’m sure everybody’s seen the email about this kind of thing becoming so prevalent, and mentioning that we’ve removed God and prayer from our schools. We will never learn. Instead, administrators will flood the school with gov't-funded grief counselors. Oh well, we're doomed.
