Candidates participating:
Yes, but that chart leaves off the upward spiral that began back in ‘04 and has tripled the price of crude since.
Interesting to see the price of pre-1973 oil.
Fred speaks from the heart while political rhetoric swirls around the stage. It is obvious who is Presidential on that stage!

I won’t hold my breath. For an alleged constitutionalist, Ron Paul certainly seems to think he’s going to institute a lot of reforms by Presidential fiat.
Giuliani is good at this kind of debate, for sure...he has on the attack with the Dems at every opportunity..
So your chart does show just how much inflation has been introduced into our economy, your spike claims that prices were higher in the mid 80’s when oil was $45 or so a barrel.
Today they are at over 70 and somehow this is cheaper?
Inflation eats value like baking soda reacts to vinegar.
Duncan Hunter looking and sounding very presidential...they need to give him more time!
Tancredo needs to calm down.
Does anyone know if Frank Luntz will be on FNC with a focus group poll tonight? I haven’t heard any ads for it. Just wondering. I enjoy his input.
>> I think Fred is contradicting himself here. He said oil prices peak before economic downturns, but previously he said our economy is fine, no recession on the horizon.
That’s not necessarily a contradiction. Perhaps he doesn’t believe oil prices have peaked.
H
Amen.
“Hucksterbee is for amnesty.”
He is? Thank you for informing me. Cross another one off the list! :-)
Hunter for President!
Who says oil prices have peaked?
I don’t know. I think that’s the best Tancredo’s sounded all night.
Well, we have a debate being telecast right now and all you have to offer are personal attacks. If you like a candidate, promote your candidate to your heart’s content instead of petty attacks.
LOL! Huckabee re: America- “This place ROCKS”!!!
Tancredo is dead on- Republicans do fight better in the minority and pander in the majority. Tancredo is right. As far as Brownback, yes America does rock!!!! Still going for Fred though.
Hunter, Brownback and Tancredo just hit for the cycle.
