What if a Republican Called, Like Obama, for God's 'Kingdom on Earth'?

OK, perhaps I exaggerate just a tad, but you get the point. The MSM would surely be in full threat-to-the-Constitution cry if ever a Republican presidential candidate had said exactly what Barack Obama did yesterday [note that the CNN link where the story was originally reported is not working as of the posting of this item]:

"Sometimes this is a difficult road being in politics. Sometimes you can become fearful, sometimes you can become vain, sometimes you can seek power just for power’s sake instead of because you want to do service to God. I just want all of you to pray that I can be an instrument of God in the same way that Pastor Ron and all of you are instruments of God . . . We’re going to keep on praising together. I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth."

I can report that there was no mention of Obama's comments during the crucial first half-hour of "Today." Over at MSNBC, Joe Scarborough praised Obama's words in the first half-hour of "Morning Joe," and Mika Brzezinski later chimed in, suggesting that Obama's statement was a good political move.

We'll make it a point to monitor the MSM over the coming days to see what the reaction might be. In the meantime, the very absence of an overwhelming -- and overwhelmingly negative -- response to Obama's statement speaks volumes about the MSM double-standard when it comes to Republicans and Democrats discussing their faith.

Great comments and well put. I could seperate all the intentions good or bad into one word we should all live by: duty to one another. We don’t have that going on in America. We have the right pushing for the NAU and New World Order but selling out America for the agenda. I very much doubt Christ will be partnering with the corrupt Chinese or Mexican governments for His global kingdom. Then you have the left which has succesfully guaranteed they will remain in power and tax us all to give away our wealth to the lazy and those that expect entitlements. Yes, the populations soon becomes in despair.

The ones having their hard work given away to the lazy become non-productive and depressed. Those on the entitlements feel no sense of reward as we are all programmed to accel. Those who can’t because of physical or mental handicapped should get help from all of us willing to provide it.

The real question is, What do we as Americans really know about this human call Barracks Hussein Obamma?

The answer is not much.

He has no real record to investigate except that he has lots of close ties to Muslims and several crooked Chicago characters.

Obamma has some dubious financial dealings.

We also know that he is way out in the left leaning kook fringe area of his own party.

I am afraid that it is what we do not know about this neophyte that scares many in America.

Yet I find it odd that so many naivete Blacks and liberals are once again willing to trust their entire livelihood to an unknown.

He spoke openly about God and creating a Kingdom here on earth - this could open the door to the Republicans to not shy away from speaking about their faith. I may be too naive to believe they could get away with it as the libs always seem to, but it’s an opening.

The name of the kingdom is Dar al-Islam, (literally house of submission) is a term used to refer to those lands under Islamic rule. In the orthodox tradition of Islam, the world is divided into two components: dar al-Islam, the house of peace and dar al-Harb, the house of war.
