humble is leaving ICU and going to a room later tonight.
They flushed out his lungs this evening with that probe thing (my medical vocabulary is well below adequate!) and it was very painful.
humble called a little while ago and isn't feeling so well. He said that he just wants to get out of ICU and into a regular room.
TheMom said that she talked to humble earlier and the doctors told him that the pnumonia may be coming back.
I'm worried....
He's looking forward to reading the next part of this thread tomorrow or Sunday. I think he will be pleased! ;-)

Prayers being said that the pneumonia is not coming back, that HG will regain his strength and soon be ready for deer season and being with all of his friends.........

I’m so sorry to hear that humblegunner is experiencing a decline. I’ll be at a prayer retreat all day tomorrow, and I’ll keep his situation on the front burner!
When I saw gunner this afternoon he was in great spirits (sorta). Dr. B (the Lung King) told him this morning that he would be moved into a regular room. They were “this close” to moving him when Dr. R came it and said he wanted to do the brontosaurs procedure (my medical jargon is worse than pax’s). Gunner has decided he does not like Dr. R because he is evil.
He really hates the ICU because “It is like being in a hallway, the lights are never turned off, there are all kinds of people walking around & talking and it is hot.”. Gunner also mentioned that he REALLY hated getting a sponge bath from a Pilipino grandma.
One the plus side, Dr. B said she will be taking out one of his chest tubes real soon. While I was visiting him, his nurse was recording the fluid from the chest tubes ~ two of them had produced very little fluid, and the liquid in the third one was considerably reduced from previous days.

Father God, please put Your healing hand on HG...heal those lungs, please stop any pneumonia that may be forming, please take ALL illness from his body and make him well again. Lord, we pray for the medical teams working with him....please guide them, Lord. Show them the way that YOU want them to go to help this man heal. In Your Name, AMEN.

thanks for the update. still prayin’. glad you’re there for him—he’s very blessed!! I read down and saw where he’s saying ICU is like being in a hallway. He’ll LOVE having his own room. It’s wonderful. don’t know much about ICU. Hope he has a morphine drip. :)
