Blogger Discovers 'Media Matters' Using Clinton Admin Operatives as Official Agents
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 10/06/2007 4:08:08 PM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Blogger Conservative Belle has a penchant for getting to the bottom of stories. You'll remember that a couple weeks ago, she discovered that the fallen soldier whose name David Shuster blamed Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) for not knowing had his official residence in another district. It was a Dem congressman, not Blackburn, whom the Department of the Army had notified of the soldier's death.

Conservative Belle [or "CB," as we like to call her] has gone Sherlock Holmes again today. And this time, she's discovered that "Media Matters," the outfit that denies that Hillary Clinton [contrary to her assertion as pictured here] helped start it, just happens to use as official agents a firm whose head honchos include . . . two senior political operatives from the Clinton adminstration.

CB also has unearthed some interesting information suggesting that in its solicitation of donations, "Media Matters" may be running afoul of the rules in a state near and dear to its DC home.

Check out CB's column: Media Matters - Coincidental Clinton Connections in Colorado?

Rush had audio the other day of Her Heinous SAYING that she helped start Media Matters as a way to make sure her ideas got out to the public. Yuh, like the media doesn't do that anyway. But she's clearly stating she helped start the group.

For those who were asking, I have updated my post to include a link to the IRS Form 990’s filed by MM. There are three of them.

The Clintoons have enough skeletons in their closet, one could declare it a cemetery. No one has more “room temperature” associates than these two sinister, evil Liberals!

If this has been previously stated, forgive my repetition: The Imus incident last April was a dry run for MM. It is most likely they wanted to see how quickly or how deeply they had to go in order to take down a Hillary critic. In Imus' case, the root network was already established, it just had to be fertilized with angry rhetoric.

MM did not count on the amount of support Rush has, which was lacking in the Imus case.

I'm pretty sure that the whole "Imus thing" was payback for that corespondents dinner where Imus was the MC, and he said some really harsh things about the Clintons. Heck, I remember being shocked at what he said when I heard it. After all, he was talking about the sitting President of the United States. And while those things may have been true, I didn't like them said about the President. I have always agreed (to a point) with what Harry Truman said (paraphrased), "you may not respect the man, but dammit you owe respect to the office of the President."

Hitlery all but has a down payment on the Dem nod for POTUS and already her scandals, lies, illegal campaign donations, etc., are off the chart.

Hillary's problem is that she tells so many lies, and does so many unethical things, she can't always keep them straight or under wraps. The Media Matters connection is out of the bag!

I see their COO Darrin Bodner is an "advisor" of another scary group called "Progressive Roundtable" which is a project of "Commonweal Institute".

http://www.commonwealinstitute.org/

http://www.progressiveroundtable.org/

From the Progressive Roundtable site:

There is no comparable progressive infrastructure. Moderate and progressive candidates are on their own. They have to make their own arguments, they have to develop their own language, they have to educate voters on their issues, and they cannot depend upon an infrastructure and its aligned media for support the way conservative candidates can. Many Democratic candidates have felt they had to move toward more conservative positions in order to get elected, which has led to deep divisions within the Democratic Party. Many citizens have come to feel that neither of the major parties is speaking to the needs of ordinary Americans.

“I disagree. They don’t care because no one will hear about these revelations other than political junkies like we who read FR. They know they can count on the MSM to put a lid on any of their dirty or lying activities.”

You are correct about that one. Where is the Dem Senate outrage when the libs in Senate call our soldiers baby killers and as bad as the terrorists?

Instead they actually are wasting tax payers dollars on debate and condemnation of what a media person’s (Rush) opinion was? The left press has spit out nasty venom every day condemning our troops as murderers but I see now such outrage from the house. I only see the left in power building more nasty media organizations to attack conservative values and responsibility.
