Al-Qaida has revived, spread and is capable of a spectacular [Global Warming Alert]
Guardian ^ | September 13, 2007 | Richard Norton-Taylor

Al-Qaida has revived, extended its influence, and has the capacity to carry out a spectacular strike similar to the September 11 attacks on America, one of the world's leading security thinktanks warned yesterday.

...snip...

The warning came in the latest annual review of world affairs by the IISS. Its strategic survey paints a bleak picture of global security in the future and warned:

· Iran could have a nuclear weapon by 2009 or 2010, though this remains the "worst-case prediction";

· the US suffered a loss of authority as a result of the failure to impose order in Iraq. "The strategic hole the US found itself in [in 2007] did not have any obvious escape";

· there are serious doubts about the ability of Nuri al-Maliki, Iraq's prime minister, but any replacement would probably come too late to "halt the draining of American willpower to 'stay the course' ".

· that if climate change is allowed to continue unchecked, its affects will be catastrophic "on the level of nuclear war".

“· Iran could have a nuclear weapon by 2009 or 2010”

Actually, they will probably have one before mid 2008.

· that if climate change is allowed to continue unchecked, its affects will be catastrophic “on the level of nuclear war”.

Well this statement pretty much discredits the whole report. Even Gorebull Warming fans in the scientific community don’t think that.

So does this mean that Al Qaeda is responsible for Global Warming???

Maybe that is enough ammo for Al Gore and the environazis to go after him.

US suffered a loss of authority as a result of the failure to impose order in Iraq

clearly, then, we had commanding authority throughout the 90's with the embassy attacks, Khobar towers, the Cole, and this authority reached its zenith on September 10, 2001.

one of the world's leading security thinktanks

Run by a former French diplomat and Mitterand flunky and a French-South African journalist who used to work of the UN's WHO.

Real impartial, I'm sure.

If this ever becomes true, will the ONLY solution be genocide?

Will we have to destroy or isolate the source of the problem.. 1+ billion Muslims worldwide?
How else does one deal with 1+ billion Muslims, worldwide?

Either that — or accept Islam, slavery or death..
Isn’t that the deal currently being offered as directed in the Koran?

Just asking — what OTHER options are available?

I'd give the (snicker) International Institute for Strategic Studies a little more credibility if they offered a single original thought, but if there's one here it isn't obvious. Al Qaeda has reconstituted itself and is as capable as it used to be...based on what evidence? If anything the ferocity and the frequency of their attacks appears to have diminished. Global warming the equivalent of a nuclear war? But a nuclear war is predicted to cause global cooling - anyone remember the horrendous "nuclear winter" that such "experts" predicted?

Spare us from "think tanks." Wisdom isn't necessarily accumulative but stupidity is.

The Left has also said that rate of melting glaciers could push our next ice age back 500,000 years.

Which means that without “global climate change”, there would be “global climate change”.

Ron Paul has said it is easier to hit Americans in Iraq than it is here. And that mall security is doing a better job than our troops.

Except there was a mall shooing by a muslim in Utah and there was a plot (in Chicago?). Were these stopped by mall cops?

But...but....the Paulestinians say that their Anointed One, Ron Paul has more support from the military than any other candidate does.

“clearly, then, we had commanding authority throughout the 90’s with the embassy attacks, Khobar towers, the Cole, and this authority reached its zenith on September 10, 2001.”

So this stupid article would imply. You remember, the good old days of the Clinton Era when what constituted sex and suicide were redefined and aspirin factories became targets of opportunity.

Wishful thinking from the ultra-left Guardian, friend of socialists, terrorists, and nincompoops. This folks make the New York Times seem almost rational.

Hillary!08 favors Change. In fact, she represents Change. Those who oppose Climate Change oppose Hillary!08 and note that she never mentions Climate Change. Well, rarely.
