FREEPER MASTER THREAD: Report what schools are doing to prepare for "The Perfect Day" attack
Glenn Beck show ^ | 9-11-07 | dfu

GLENN BECK - "THE PERFECT DAY"

FReepers, our government did not connect the dots that could have prevented the 9/11 attacks. We face an even more horrific threat. Glenn Beck is doing a special this week called THE PERFECT DAY.

We have discovered architectural plans in a safe house in Iraq. Those plans are of American elementary schools. We have discovered tapes of a mock attack in which our children in the schools under seige are spoken to in English.

. The terrorist have plans for multiple attacks on our children. They plan to brutalize them and murder them. When help comes, they plan to blow up car bombs to kill the rescuers.

Ultimately, the plan is to creat the ultimate Holy War. They expect our reaction to be attacks on Muslims and the burning of mosques. Those are the images they want to show Muslims around the world to unite all of Islam for the final great battle.

Please use this thread to make reports about what are schools are doing. We need to hold their feet to the fire and get answers. Here is an example.

SAN DIEGO: Message left with an assistant for Chief of School Police, Don Braun. I'll report when he returns the call. The assistant knew this was on TV, but I don't think he knew San Diego was mentioned.

Please make the calls and report here.

I don’t want to hijack the thread, but I’d like to give you some advice from a veteran homeschool dad. Homeschooling really is a lifestyle and must become the most important aspect of your life. It will take up a lot of time and will be difficult at times. If you go into it with a “we’ll try it for a few weeks” perspective, it will be real easy to quit when the going gets tough.

It’s a great thing to do, but it can be trying.

Check out a book called “the Right Choice” by Chris Klicka (www.hslda.org) it might help you out. Also, get involved in a local homeschool network and/or go to a conference.

You won't get al Qaida to stand down their Holy War just because you blew up a couple of their sacred sites. They're goal is to rule the world and everything in it.

And after you blow up Mecca and Medina, what are you going to hold over their heads next?

I'm not in favor of blowing up mecca or medina, unless Saudi Arabia, itself, through direct action, attacked the United States.

I also don't think threatening to blow them up or nuke them, is much of a deterrent either.

What I am saying, is they wouldn't be happy to see their holy lands destroyed, and they certainly would not want the US to do it, or anyone to do it.

That doesn't mean we should do it anyway. I don't see any value of attacking a couple of cities in a country, that is not, at this time, engaged in a direct war with us, just as I would not bomb paris unless France attacked the United States.

I also don't think terrorists can be that easily blackmailed, otherwise Israel could have saber ratteled the middle east decades ago when they were engaged in direct war with arab neighbors and the threat was real enough.

Last year, in reaction to the Amish massacre, our schools are all locked. There is a video feed on the front door and a parent has to buzz the desk, get seen by the secretary and state your business to get in, then the secretary unlocks the door. I’m not sure if there is any profiling going on, etc, but it is something.

Also, there was something about this on FR last year. And two days after the thread, the local news did a short piece about the principals (at least all of them in our county) and some select school personnel having met with FBI and local police about safety plans, etc.

Every year or two a local news crew will go out and attempt to gain access to schools to see how long it takes to be intercepted if they are successful. They do a great job keeping the administrators on their toes, by alerting parents about lax school security.

What I am saying, is they wouldn't be happy to see their holy lands destroyed, and they certainly would not want the US to do it, or anyone to do it.

And what I'm saying is that blowing up their sacred sites guarantees that all of Islam will hate us and removes the possibility that the vast majority of moderate muslims may join us and punish those who have hijacked their religion.

Since the goal of radial Islam is to ignite a Holy War between us and them, threatening to blow up Mecca and Medina plays into their strategy...and doesn't do anything to end the war.

Tell that to the people of Beslan.

That was nonfiction.

It will happen here eventually. You can't stop it. You can't mitigate it. All you can do is survive it and mourn it. To think otherwise is to have a God complex.

There are tens of thousands of possible targets and a trillion scenarios. To worry over each one of them is a complete waste of life.

“but we cannot “defend” many thousands of schools against an attack....”

I say this is BS. God granted us 2nd ammendment rights to protect ourselves and one another from trash like this. Those Americans taking the responsibility to assert those rights will fare far better on the day this happens, then those who say they’ve done their duty to their families, themselves and their community by simply dialing 911.

No, we don’t agree on something, that was a question that I asked, and you edited the response by taking the question mark out. You know you really ought to change your name back to your original name you used to use before you got banned. And then you started using this account you created earlier on as a back up. LOL

I would still like some kind of preparation ...IF it happens will my community be ready or able to react?
Just sitting by and saying welp nuttin we can do is just plain irresponsible and dumb in my most humble opinion.

It's not going to happen in rural America where people ride around with rifles in the back of their vehicles.

I'd have to say you're wrong there, for several reasons.

In PA, a nutcase was able to kill a bunch of Amish girls because a) the school didn't have a phone and b) there were no men anywhere in the vicinity. In any school, there are few men in the schools and the schools and their parking areas are gun-free zones.

I'd have to say the only defense against this type of attack is arming the teachers and admins in the schools, more likely in rural areas than urban, but not a reality anywhere in this country.

It would definatly ignite a holy war, it would be of no strategic value, it would definatly push more people against us, and not just muslims. It would not be a good idea (it would a very very bad one, even threating to bomb them, as Tancredo did at one time, or suggested, wasn't smart either, and I like him).

That said, radical islam seeks to rule, blowing up those targets may get them more followers, but I doubt they would want those followers at the expense of being unable to practise their own religon (they are radical muslims after all). Sort of like the catch 22, Al Quada can get boatloads of new troops (terrorists) but it loses the most important parts of its faith and is unable to comply now with its own religion, thats a sacrifise they don't want to make, and also there is absolutly no point to bombing mecca and medina anyway.

If Saudi Arabis declares war on the US, then thats a different story. Sabre rattling about their holy sites doesn't scare them either, so it would be pointless and illogical and foolish to even suggest targeting them.

Certainly, "Glenn" if you have YOUR way it will. As for having a "God Complex", that's simply another lame brained, leftist, batch of psychological mumbojumbo. In REALITY, doing a bit of thinking, planning and working for mitigation is as important as "mourning" when something terrible does happen.

I happen to teach classes about "thinking" to people who generally don't think at all, kind of like you. They just "let it go and live life as it occurs". There's not a damned thing wrong with that, unless you find yourself in a disaster situation about to die -- and when a little pre-thinking might have had an impact on your survival.

I DO agree with you on one thing, it WILL happen, but it doesn't have to be completely free to happen. If Americans stand TOGETHER and think about all the little possibilities and at least do one thing about them... instead of letting "come what may" then you can, and will mitigate a larger situation. A case in point is the fact that we HAVE NOT HAD another attack like 9-11-01, and most likely WILL NOT have one like that. Instead we will have smaller, more diversified attacks, and guess what? Some times some of us do get real briefings on what is out there, what has been stopped, and what plans are. So, you think that by someone thinking about the possibilities of "what might be" is a God Complex, you really do not know how wrong you are about it. In fact, some such attacks have already been stopped in several countries, including the United States -- but you'll not hear it reported because the media it seems is like you in many ways. "Head in the sand, and by golly so should everyone's head be there..."

I have this reoccuring nightmare. I am dutifully dropping my son off at middle school when I notice a band of sheetheads sneaking around the school yard. Since I have a CCW permit and coincidentally, my AR-15 is in the trunk because I'm taking it to the gunsmith to get it fitted for a new sight, I exit my car, deploy my rifle, lock and load, and begin dispatching these goat f***ers to Paradise.

The SWAT team shows because someone called 911 about some crazy bald-headed senior citizen shooting up the school yard...and I am suddenly air-conditioned with about 60 holes in my beautiful freshly pressed dress shirt. Damn, and I was wearing my favorite tie...

Thanks for posting. Hooray Glenn Beck!

Be alert. Be prepared.

The armed forces of The United States of America are doing a superb job against foreign enemies. We need to do the same against domestic enemies. It all starts with introducing “what if” scenarios.

I discussed this with our elementary school several years ago.

The school has detailed plans for terrorist/criminal attacks. The teachers are thoroughly prepared.

Each classroom has a door to the outside, and the school is within two miles of not only our city police, but our county police.

I don’t think our schools are prime targets.
