Sentence could be a bit rough
The Washington Times ^ | 8-29-07 | Tom Knott

A Boston judge sentences a man to probation and home confinement after his admission that he abducted and sexually assaulted a 12-year-old boy.

A Nebraska judge sentences a convicted sex offender to probation and electronic monitoring because she fears for the mentally impaired man"s safety in prison.

A Vermont judge sentences a child molester to 60 days in jail in order to facilitate his prompt treatment.

Justice is hardly blind, if only because it is meted out by the colossal imperfection known as the human.

And judges are as human as the person who comes to your home to fix a leaky faucet, which is to say they are products of their experiences and function with the customary assortment of biases colored by their political leanings.

Judges can be creative, ruthless, permissive or out to lunch. They are apt to think in mysterious ways.

Most of the time, our courtrooms are empty of spectators and press. Of course, if you hurt a dog, the room will be packed. More scrutiny on the prosecutors that allowed pleas to lesser crimes on children instead of swinging for the fence would do wonders.

This boy was obviously one of the little people and anyone who says otherwise is an intolerant homophobe. This is about homosexual rights and privileges and is taken straight from an episode of the Will and Grace show.

Here is my favourite mental case judge:

Wasn’t too short to rape a child!

I’d be fine with home confinement as long as the guys family jewels were confined in a jar somewhere else.

The greatest evil is not done in those sordid dens of evil that Dickens loved to paint but is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clear, carpeted, warmed, well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. — C. S. Lewis

Apparently, there's little fear about what this child molester will likely do to other children. Disgusting.

these judges are sick and twisted.

How ‘bout if one if their little grandbabies were the subject of molestation.....would they change their tune, then?

IMHO, anyone who molests a child and is convicted (with proof), should be sentenced to either life in prison (general population) for the rest of his life with no possibility of parole, or the death penalty (to be carried out within one year - no appeals.)

These creeps should never be put out on the street again - there is no ‘cure’. They WILL molest again.

Exactly right. But this judge gives him probation, knowing full well that molesters keep on molesting.

And, you are SO right. I should have added to my previous post:

And, any judge that allows the release of any child molester, should (IMHO) suffer the same fate I proposed for child molesters. (Prison for life in the general population, with no chance of parole.) Of course that won’t ever be implemented, but these judges (who put child molesters back out on the street) should be permanently removed from the bench.

To deliberately allow a monster to be free to harm little ones, is akin to being an accomplice in any future crime that monster commits, IMHO.

Our children are our future - and we must protect them.

As you likely know, judges have immunity for their actions and orders....so they could care less that molesters are back out on the street.
