He seems to be dead set on 'open borders' in direct opposition to his sworn oath as President to uphold our laws. This is a way to get around that 'little fence thing'. Who do you think is going to own a large number of these trucks coming in? Legitimate Mexican businesses? (shaking head)
I agree with %90 of Bush's actions. I voted for him twice. His actions concerning our territorial integrity and personal safety issues arising from it are impeachable. This lame loophole for illegals being created here is sickening.

Is there a requirement for them to have insurance unlike Mexico?
They’ll come here, kill us and return to Mexico to hide from the law.
Another great output of NAFTA.

I agree. Voted twice for him as well. You are kind to still be backing him 90%.

I heard that Giuliana will profit of the new super highway coming in.

Very sad.

This is moronic, anyone that can’t see the inevitable problems with this are either complicit or dumber than a box of sticks. This isn’t a surprise, is part of NAFTA, Hunter is fighting it along with a few others. It looks like a done deal. Forgive me but that isn’t the point. Mexican truck drivers are maniacs. Just another thing WE will pay for on road repair costs. Vehicle insurance will sky rocket. No one will be safe driving to the grocery. This will allow them to fill up a truck with illegals and drop them off along the way. Some cargo, huh? There are many other implications I haven’t even thought of. Just change our name to Amerimexica.

Ron Paul voted against the globalist Republican NAFTA plan. McFred (CFR, and co-author of CFR) voted to expand NAFTA in 1998.

Like I said, my old man was a trucker, and I support American truckers with all my heart!
I wonder how many of our guys will be inclined to slash tires at truck stops?

Not many, I'll bet.

Yeah, gotta cut them trucking costs. Can’t have them truckers making above the minimum wage, can we? I am white collar, but I really feel for the blue collars who are being systematically denied a way to support their families. And God knows what these Mexican trucks will bring in—illegals, drugs, jihadists, even WMD. Does anyone for a second think our laws will apply to them? Increasingly there are two sets of laws in this country: one for citizens, and one for third world colonizers.

Bush is such an idiot on this issue and on the general issue of what to do about the ongoing illegal immigration problems throughout the U.S.! What planet is Bush presently on because it’s definitely not the planet Earth.

I, too, voted for him twice, but who were you going to vote for? If we let the RNC, the DNC, and the media pick the candidates, we are propably going to get screwed, and screwed again. And no, I do not consider Fred to be outside of the “insiders”.

“I bet we will see some very shiney rigs rolling over those borders paid for by some american companys...”

Most certainly you’ll see very shiny rigs rolling over the border paid for by Drug Cartel money. It’s happening now. There can be only one source of funding for these young, surly, Mexican guys dressed always as though they are attending some special event, always appear as though they just got out of the Barber’s chair running brand new Peterbilts in the local San Bernardino/LA Rail Container circuit.

How else can these young men afford to buy BRAND NEW PETERBILTS, and deck them out with all the Silhouette Art, and options, or maintain the payments by pulling those low pay Rail cans?

Great for you to be aware of this. Again, I wonder what GW is giving away at this three day NAU meeting this week? How much of our freedom in the name of terror will be taken away from us while illegal immigrants run wild and free. Let me just say, it is not only Mexico with illegal immigrants. We are to take in 7500 iraqi’s a year and that number is about to be 100K or more a year.

USDOT doesn't enforce Federal weight and safety regulations anyway. That job is left to individual states -- and I am sure there are plenty of state police departments who are salivating at the idea of bagging Mexican truckers at their scales, safety inspection stations, etc.

Keep in mind that a driver's inability to understand English is an "out of service" violation -- which means a truck driven by someone who can't speak English can be seized by the police.

“Great for you to be aware of this.”

Here’s my post from Saturday on the same topic as explanation of my awareness.

“Observation:

Dec. 2005-August 2006 I was recalled by the company (I’m retired) to perform a task for them. This involved dealing with trucks, and truckers of course. I couldn’t help but notice the many Mexican Owner Operators coming and going at the facility I was operating in their BRAND NEW PETERBILTS.

Bear in mind these are people working equipment and load shuttle locally with Rail Containers as their loads, and are getting as little as $40.00 per move.

How does one pay for a ‘Pete’ at those rates, and how does one manage to keep them up, plus add on all the chrome and Silhouette Art, etc. that goes with that...er...um...territory?

They gotta have an Angel with Deeeeeeep Pockets backing them don’t they. Now....whom would that be?”
