“1945 - This is the day that U.S. President Harry S Truman announced that Japan had surrendered to the Allies [WWII]. Thousands thronged into the streets throughout the United States to celebrate V-J Day. The official ratification of the surrender didnt take place until September 2, in Tokyo Bay aboard the USS Missouri.”

I wish to thank you for posting this military tribute for the soldiers and their families. I would also like to request being added to your list as I have a son, nephew, neice, and cousin currently serving in Iraq. I thank you for your attention.
