Duncan Hunter's Iowa Straw Poll speech.
US, the only thing that you can read from this is the golden rule—he who has the gold rules—Romney bought it.
Everyone else spent a lot of their time and resources as well. It was all or nothing for some, and you will be hearing of some dropouts shortly—even from some who finished above DH...
I am having a difficult time, squaring tonights results with the results of the vote taken in St.Louis at the gathering of Republican assemblies (remember the Republican wing of the Republican Party), where Hunter missed getting 2/3 of the vote by 2%, over Fred Thompson. Two and two are not coming out to four.
Three in the bottom of the list are still considered “Top Tier”...
7. Fred Thomson 231 votes
8. Rudy Giuliani 183 votes
9. Duncan Hunter 174 votes
10. John McCain 101 votes

Yes, let's fight on...
What is broke in regards to Hunter is our lamestream media. They do not cover him, in part because they know he is what conservatives are looking for, I believe.
That is why it is up to us to bypass the lamestream media and spread the word about him.
You want a strong America? Elect Duncan Hunter, 2008
Three in the bottom of the list are still considered Top Tier...Geez. They didn't even compete! And Fred and Rudy still managed to beat Hunter with out even setting foot in Iowa.
If Ames proves anything, it is that Romney's the guy who can get it done.
Ron Paul loves to talk about slaying big, bad government. But he really doesn't have the background or experience to do it (he's also "whacked out," but that another story). Romney is the only candidate with the business savvy, smarts, and experience to actually put together a plan and actually run government like a business--at least to the degree that it CAN be done.
Romney gets it done. Just like he did in Ames. Just like he did with the Salt Lake Olympics. Just like he did as the nation's most successful venture capitalist. You don't achieve such success by being lazy, disconnected, or expecting the world to hand it to you with its compliments and best wishes. You do it by working harder and smarter than everyone around you.
Hunter's a fine and decent man, too. I'm disappointed that he didn't do better. If he does pack it in, I hope the eventual Republican nominee keeps Hunter in mind for a cabinet post. Secretary of Defense would be a perfect fit.
In fact, Fred Thompson isn’t even a candidate and he beat Duncan Hunter!
Wow...that’s quite an accomplishment. /s
you will be hearing of some dropouts shortlyeven from some who finished above DH...Yeah. The one good thing that came out of this is Tommy Thompson's poor showing, which he has already indicated will mean an end to his campaign.
I have mine.

Hunter’s performance in a conservative vanity poll was pathetic.
He won’t last. Happy to wager any delusional die-hards though.
Hunter spent a week in Iowa...Fred Thompson's never even been to Iowa and he still beat Hunter.
It is actually ten months and all he could get was 174 votes. He may see himself as "working his tail off" but has no organization, no volunteers. To use a military analogy Hunter would like: No one man army ever won a war.
I didn’t notice anyone checking voter registrations....
Hunter must be doing something right...alot of FRedbots on this thread with their panties in a twist. We’ll see how ol’ FRed’s record holds up once he’s come out from hiding behind Hannity’s skirt.
