Sad news: FReeper T'wit has passed away
August 4, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/04/2007 2:52:12 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We received word this morning that FReeper T'wit, Timothy Wheeler, has died. His son said that he passed away quickly, apparently, with not much distress.

T'wit was one of our earliest members and was a tireless worker for Life and Liberty. He was a good man and will be greatly missed.

Prayers for his family and loved ones.

Godspeed, dear friend.

I am so sorry. I had many heartfelt communications with T’wit, and he was a tireless advocate for Terri Schindler aand for Life. Prayers for he and his family.

T'wit was among the first FReepers I read in the early days of FR, and was one of the reasons I signed on to this great site.

He will be missed by people he never knew, but who knew him and respected his integrity, his compassion and his terrific sense of humor.

God bless T'wit and all who love him.

Damn!

I remember sitting with T’wit at a picnic table under a Pavillion in Burlington, WI during a FReeper meet. We had a wonderful discussion on the tainted blood mess.

T’wit is one I am going to really miss. :-(

>>Sorry to hear of T’wit’s passing. I did not know him. May he rest in peace.<<

I did not know T’wit either and now I wish I had - I’ve been reading back through his posts and they are quite telling.

This one is my favorite - its a suggested caption for a woman at a Code Pink type rally. Timothy Wheeler so captured how wrong headed a turn is often taken when we become of problems and how dark the embittered opposition to America can become.

>>”Friends, mine is a simple, homely American story. I was a child star in Hollywood. I was showered with attention and affection. I made more money at 6 than most of you have made in your lives. Then as I blossomed into womanhood, I became a top fashion model and earned more money than you can imagine. Despite my heavy working schedule, I was loving wife and I slathered love and affection on my three perfect children. From modeling, I moved into the editorial world at VOGUE as a senior fashion coordinator. I used those very skills to color-coordinate my maroon pants, red print scarf and dishwater hands with this red microphone.

“Then, sadly, I became socially aware. I burned at the injustices in Amerika! I started to speak out for social justice. I marched for peace. As a result, I lost my husband, my job and my kids, and I owe it all to you and your stupid communist demonstrations. Good-bye to the lot of you, I am now detonating my suicide belt.” <<

His humor was edgey but not on target - he got the point and he made the point.

Thanks for sending me those posts. T’wit was a funny guy. I loved his sense of humor and he was right on the mark. It’s good that we have his words to look back on. A person is never gone if we talk of him and keep him in our thoughts.
