Typical of O'Reilly. He can't bring himself to admit he was wrong. Everything's about BOR, and his omnipotence is not to be challenged by us mere mortals.
Just because this guy's on FoxNews doesn't mean he's right. Just because he skewers the liberals, that doesn't mean he's wise.
He's an all-purpose blowhard and a self-appointed authority on too many things he knows nothing about to be taken seriously by either side of the debate.

Memo to FReepers:
Turn off O'Reilly. Why bother? Watching negativity like his dressed in the airs of pompous righteousness is bad for your psyche.

BOR is absolutely right. Free Republic needs a monitor...
It also needs a keyboard, a mouse, a computer, and an internet connection.
And BOR needs some remedial training in what a hate site is.

FR has a moderator.
Every single poster is a moderator.
We know the rules and we are responsible for our own behavior.
There are also Admin monitors and just because they aren’t needed very much doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
B.O.R. is just a vacuous twit. (Monty Python)
Sites like DU and KOS have so-called mods. The website owners, especially in the case of KOS, tailor the website around their personality and mentality.
Jim designed FR (as I am sure you are well aware, sorry for preaching to the choir) as an OPEN FORUM.
DU and KOS are not.

BOR: Among the 10% that never gets the word and, worse, is too lazy to find out
for himself so he makes up outrages as a gimmick to draw in viewers.
Let me come clean and confess all. A couple of years ago I did post some remarks that could be viewed as insulting to race-hustlers like Jackson and Sharpton because I thought they were bad for race relations and for the country in general.
I admit now that I was wrong. It is too easy for some unscrupulous person of deficient character, such as Markos Moulitsas or Bill OReilly, to spin the meaning of my words to embrace all blacks. That would be like saying that just because I dislike (or if you prefer hate or loathe) Bill OReillys puerile attention ploys, then I must hate all Irishmen. Thats nonsense.
Some of the best columnists writing today are black: Sowell, Perkins, Elder, Williams, McWhorter, Blackwell and Cain, and thats no jive. You can find them on Townhall.com. Every single one of them has more wisdom and more integrity than Bill OReilly.

Hey, O'Reilly, monitor this:
You're an egotistical blowhard, the spin stops at you because everything is about you!
Frankly, most people here at FR don't give a @#$% about you.
To: lowbridge
Although Bill O’Reilly occasionally makes statements I agree with, he has an annoying habit of making statements he perceives as fact when he as absolutely no information to back them up. I remember listening to him make comments about Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa while they were involved in the homerun chase several years ago. He was making derogatory statements about everything from steroids to creatine to andro; it should have been obvious to anyone listening the man had absolutely no idea what he was talking about, and was just parroting a bunch of mindless statements he had read in other media outlets. Yet he still carried on as if he were a chemist that had personally tested the effects of these substances on the human body.
