O'Reilly Factor Provides Free Republic Offending Comments Links

Edited on 08/01/2007 4:30:51 PM PDT by Admin Moderator. [history]

I received an e-mail today from the Fox News producer who booked me for the O'Reilly Factor last night. The links have been forwarded to Jim Robinson for review.

Jim asked me to start a thread with the links so that Freepers, and everyone else, could see for themselves what the fuss is about.

The Hillary Clinton stray bullet assassination comment was a very bad joke comment that someone posted two days ago. It was flagged last night after the O'Reilly Factor broadcast and was removed by a moderator. It is available for the time being in Google cache:

To: Virginia Ridgerunner I like my scenario better:

After eight years of the economy faltering, interest rates are 19%, 900,000 people are dead in Iraq since we left, taxes have gone up by 60% and Chile, Bolivia and Columbia are now Communist regimes, a stray bullet at a NARAL rally catches President Clinton and kills her.

As they take away Cindy Sheehan she screams why did she have to remove the troops? We were winning.

The next day the dow goes up 2000 points and closes at 2150.

Don't even bother trying to defend that one. Assassination jokes have no place on Free Republic. Yes, Cindy Sheehan has written of her fantasizies about killing President Bush--and she's not joking, but that's her problem. We're better than that.

The "homosexuals are dogs" comment is taken out of context. The actual quote is "Homosexuals are the modern day dogs in the manger." That was in reference to an article about proprieters in the U.K. not being allowed to deny hotel accomodations to homosexual couples on account of religious belief.

The American Heritage online dictionary gives this description for the phrase: dog in the manger, NOUN: Inflected forms: pl. dogs in the manger. One who prevents others from enjoying what one has no use for oneself. ETYMOLOGY: From a fable in which a dog prevented an ox from eating hay he did not want himself.

That comment was posted two days ago and has also been removed by the moderators. It is available for now in Google cache.

The "I hate blacks" comment was nowhere to be found in the other threads referenced.

The threads are about crime in the black community, gangsta culture and Jesse Jackson. Two of the threads are in the Smoky Backroom.

True Freepers would be wise to stay away from such threads, as we are being scutinized by the MSM. They can be enticing and funny, but can be used against us. I do not support censorship of the absurd, but only that FReepers understand they shall be taken out of context. :^)

Did Baba O’Reilly present a “fair and balanced” presentation of “political hate” including some statements from DemocraticUnderground.com?

Or is this just a witchhunt against this site for political pressure being brought to bear against RINOs?

I guess I have been full of hate calling Bill Clinton a perjurer and a serial sexual assaulter. Maybe I shouldn’t have called his wife a danger to our Republic second only to the Islamofascists. If I shouldn’t say that here, is there another site where I can post that truth?

Also, maybe I shouldn’t have posted that unbelievable photo of Barbra Streisand in the black see-through outfit that makes her look like an old cow and caused projectile vomiting for some of you. Sorry.

The thing is, the Loofah Man had said that Daily Kos was WORSE than conservative and/or Republican sites, and Lanny Davis disagreed... SO libs sent Loofah Man offensive comments from FR. To be fair to the Loofah Man, he originally said it was the left that was the worst in terms of offensiveness. Then he got wobbly and decided to go after FR too.

I’m sure kristinn is thinking of all kinds of things he could have said. He’ll be smarter next time, and not take anything at face value.

Bump for a good job! Wish you’d been given the courtesy of seeing the offending comments beforehand so you could have told him some were taken out of context or not to be found.

Once again, Bill O’reilly’s basic ignorance and lack of research are exposed to the world. Every time this “Harvard graduate” tries to use a big word everybody else already knows (Lugubrious, for instance), and pretends he just discovered it, I LOL.

Thanks tons for the update and wise comments. Amen.

Any hint of an understanding on the part of BOR’s producers et al that such were an extreme minority of our site moderated by courageous tireless volunteers???

God’s best to you and yours; JimRob and FR.

"I wonder when Bill will peruse this site and expose it? He wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole."

I perused it. Great site.

I found some wisdom right away:

"The jazman would like to ask you that when posting to the jazman, and only to the jazman that you not use words like they, them, or overthere. The jazman don't make assumptions based on such words."

I think I will adopt those insistences here on FR. Although for reasons other than the assumptions I don't make.

IF Free Republic was the only view of the Republican party that I ever got then I would think Republicans were the most hate filled group out there.

Dream on about your "fantasy Republicans".

It looks like some degenerate fool managed to hack into the account of silentknight and made the guy look like a real buffoon.

I looked back in forum and saw him say IMPEACH BUSH.

The hack may have been directly into his brain or he needs a Vulcan Mind Meld to calm him down.

I guess he thought paying the millions in hush money would silence the critics. Whatever, I don’t care. I tried listening to his radio show once and turned it off after a few minutes.

His purported 2 million person audience (less than 1% of the country) consists of senior citizens who leave the television on in the background, usually nodding off in the LayZBoy after an early dinner at the Hometown Buffet.
