I taped a segment on the O'Reilly Factor for airing tonight to defend Free Republic against charges that it is a hate site. The segment will air in the 'D block' around 8:35 p.m. EDT and rerun at 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. EDT.

Rather than tell how it went, I'll leave it for folks to watch and decide for themselves. I hope I did right by FR.

We'll be having company tonight as some of Bill O'Reilly's two million-plus viewers check out FR for themselves. So please bear that in mind as you comment tonight. The Daily Kos is waging a very nasty personal campaign of retribution against O'Reilly. No sense in us piling on. Let's use this as an opportunity to show people why FR is the best conservative site on the web.

And honestly, people are going to come here and see that he is wrong about us. I’m not worried.

If folks come here thinking they will find bad stuff, they will find it...real or imagined.

There is one weakness here that I think many Freepers have noticed. It is the number of Freepers who can't distinguished between legal and illegal immigration and assume anyone with a Hispanic surname is a criminal.

O’Reilly has said many times he doesn’t even know how to start a computer and never has used one So who ever is doing his research is feeding him a bunch of BS or is working for the DNC. O’Reilly owes FR an apology.

Welcome to FR! He felt the need to appear fair and balanced so as not to offend the socialists but in doing so he was anything but fair and balanced to FR.

Your are so correct FR has enemies with their own agenda.

It is like those churches who hate the Masonic order because the Mason give money directly to charity instead of some Charlatan Jim Jones type preachers.

Did not Hanity have a falling out with FR about the time he started his small blog.

This bloging business is getting cut throat and I suspect that Mr. O’Really has an agenda(upping his own blog to sell merchandise and books).

I have seen some comments that seemed offensive to me.

I said nothing because as an adult your learn to take bad comments with a grain of salt.

Many of my comments make members angry but then again some people (nitpickers and grouches) like Mr. O’Really are looking for any excuse to be offended.

There is no way that post would survive since the rule is “NO RACIST posts.” It’s just a matter of the mod finding it.

It's not only left to the mods - that "report abuse" link on each post really works. And, if someone posted "I hate blacks" and I saw it, I'm hitting that link pdq.

And the post is pulled along with the poster's account. And I am not the only one that tries to help keep the place cleaned up.

I want some proof from BOR of this alleged posting.

Two people were shot. It happened earlier in the morning. The media has the same access to information that we had which was the internet with online police scanners and forums. But the media just decided not to use it.

9/11 was a better example because freepers were close enough to get a birds eye view.

In the William Morva case at the start of the school year, we were so close to the action that we were debating whether our windows were bulletproof.
