I taped a segment on the O'Reilly Factor for airing tonight to defend Free Republic against charges that it is a hate site. The segment will air in the 'D block' around 8:35 p.m. EDT and rerun at 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. EDT.
Rather than tell how it went, I'll leave it for folks to watch and decide for themselves. I hope I did right by FR.
We'll be having company tonight as some of Bill O'Reilly's two million-plus viewers check out FR for themselves. So please bear that in mind as you comment tonight. The Daily Kos is waging a very nasty personal campaign of retribution against O'Reilly. No sense in us piling on. Let's use this as an opportunity to show people why FR is the best conservative site on the web.

“Two possibilities here:
1) He outright lied about the two “hateful” posts in question today that he supposedly “found.”
2) He instructed one of his employees to sign up today specifically to make those posts to “prove” that FR is a “hate site.”

He held up a screen shot of the forums browse page ... I don’t know what he was reading from but if it was from that page then the words he quoted came from an articles title or from the short snip from the body of the article.

Watched the segment and durn near popped a gasket! I've said many times, O'Reilly is like a drunk in the neighborhood bar, always wanting to pick a fight after a couple of beers. He was determined to pick a fight with you, Kristinn, as a follow-up to the "FR hate site" BS he spewed the other day.
Professional moderators? Boo-Sheep! We have thousands online at any moment who will hit "abuse" in a N.Y. minute if racist/hate/bigotry/overt sexual/inciting violence, or what-ever out-of-bounds comments are posted, and the moderators do a DAMN good job of filtering out the crap BOR claims FR is loaded with.
I'm thinking Bill O' needs an enema (or maybe a good ole fashioned FReepin). Ya did real good, Kristinn!
