I taped a segment on the O'Reilly Factor for airing tonight to defend Free Republic against charges that it is a hate site. The segment will air in the 'D block' around 8:35 p.m. EDT and rerun at 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. EDT.
Rather than tell how it went, I'll leave it for folks to watch and decide for themselves. I hope I did right by FR.
We'll be having company tonight as some of Bill O'Reilly's two million-plus viewers check out FR for themselves. So please bear that in mind as you comment tonight. The Daily Kos is waging a very nasty personal campaign of retribution against O'Reilly. No sense in us piling on. Let's use this as an opportunity to show people why FR is the best conservative site on the web.
In case you didn’t see Kristinn Taylor interviewed on O’Reilly, the video is now up on the Fox News site.
Here’s the link and then just look for Kristinn Taylor's photo, then click on that.

Bill O’Reilly has been panning FreeRepublic since the Lucianne days. His thoughts on FreeRepublic date back to when Matt Drudge dropped the link and Lucianne left in a huff. I don’t even remember what all that was about.
As someone who has been a member since 1999, I have witnessed this change. I am not alone in this thinking. I suppose I could have included the clueless and unobservant in that list along with those who don’t visit the site very often to be more fair.
We used to get trolls, but would argue the topic and kill them with logic & facts....not a zot. They only got banned for breaking one of the few posting rules.
Now, even well known long term freepers can get banned for daring to support Rudy Guiliani.
Do you think that is how BOR did the report. Putting in certain phrases and not putting them in context? Can we prove that? That would be important in disproving the BOR attack onFR.
I bet Mr. O'Reilly is green with envy.
I have never ever seen someone post I hate blacks.
Ditto.”
Nor have I, and there’s a proscription against racism in comments.
WOW!!! The links you linked me are about an Asian American from California who wrote an article in an Asian newspaper titled "I hate blacks". If you read those links, not one person on this site wrote that statement. All the posts were in response to that man's essay. All who were disgusted by the man's essay too.
If this is what O'Reilly is referring to, he should immediately apologize for slandering Free Republic.
I'm simply speechless folks. Be back on the thread later.
It’s been a downhill slide for a long time now. The only way anything in this world can change is if people accept the fact that change is needed. This sled is either going to burn out its runners or it’s going to crash into the ground.
I couldn't make out any feature in that poor quality pic that would have directed to me to a specific thread.
You'd think that BO would have shown the one about "I hate Blacks" (14 and counting.......)
Is Harold Ford the guy on oppisite Kristenn?
If so he is very handsome, nice eyes.
It's being faxed to him from a Texas Kinko.
It’s looks like BOR took the “Ihate Blacks” thing out of context. He needs to be challenged on this.
Equating FR with the Daily KOSsak is absurd.
he should have provided the posts to kristinn in advance to allow him to research them - but that might have allowed an explanation that was not in the ambush plan
From what I get as the piece flashed by someone is alleged to have posted Homosexuals are dogs and I believe someone wished somebody was assassinated. I need to see the exact posts in complete context.
Most posters here are not Abuse Report junkies and do not read every post on a thread. The only way to sanitize the forum to the standard O'Reilly pulled out of his imagination is to monitor and preview each and every post before it appears. That would cost a fortune and slow the place to a crawl. Anybody having to read every post in this place would go nuts anyway.
O'Reilly not knowing what he is talking about, BUT still massivively running his mouth is nothing new.
BUMP
A quick Google located this thread from 2001 that has the phrase “homosexuals are dogs” in it.
Unfortunately for O’Reilly, that was a comment in response to an article about Zimbabwe president, Robert Mugabe, who likened homosexuals to dogs.

Great catch. Someone. Everyone should e-mail O’Reilly that saw him say this and point out his mistake. I missed most of the segment, but am very dissappointed that O’Reilly does such poor research.
