WASHINGTON Sen. John McCain's well-known media team has resigned, an indication that his campaign shake-up is continuing to backfire and imperiling the Arizona Republican's presidential candidacy.
Political ad-makers Russ Schriefer and Stuart Stevens, veterans of President Bush's 2000 and 2004 campaigns, on Monday emailed the new campaign manager lobbyist and longtime McCain adviser Rick Davis to say that they were quitting. The two men told friends they had considered leaving for days, as they hadn't been paid and the campaign's financial straits raised questions of when and how much they would be.

Another coffin nail for Rudy McRomney.
My question is, how do all these grass roots Dem supporters have money to contribute to campaigns in the WORST ECONOMY EVER?
No much point staying on board a presidential campaign that is going nowhere and can’t raise any money. McCain is toast.
My only fear is that his ego is so big he may try to launch a third party bid and sabotage the actual GOP nominee. His behavior in 2004 was not to his credit.
Poor McCain. His Beltway insiders promised him that this was his year if only he’d bash President Bush and tout bills like Campaign Finance Reform and Immigration Reform and “play ball” with the Left.
...but we still need GOP bodies as Senators from his state. Hope he doesn’t completely melt down.
(looking at graph) yup, that immigration stuff shot him in the ‘nads. Whatever qualms we had that McCain was a RINO are definitely confirmed.
Appearing with Sen. Hagal to support Joe Schwarz here in Michigan didn’t help either.
Even without his support for amnesty for illegals, John McCain was going no where.
as much as he campaigned for bush, does anyone think w will come out for him? they both supported the immigration bill. they both thought the american people would be sucked into supporting it.
will have to see if mccain wins iowa or n/h.
great graph. perot would be proud.
MAN THE LIFEBOATS!!
Well, since Kyl wants to start the whole amnesty debacle up again they can probably see the writing on the wall that this campaign has no chance of recovery.
How about.....John is a stalking horse for Thompson
Not likely. What's he gonna' use for money?
Actual entire story is from the Wall Street Journal.
And they were doing such a bang-up job.
That is actually a very good point.
