I am watching a huge fire and explosions near Reunion Arena hear in Dallas.
Damn!
I’ll bet a person could get a great view of that fire from Reunion Tower.
Unless they evacuated Reunion Tower as well...
Stay safe there, dfwgator.
Did you here it too?
Hope you’re safe there. I used to work at the other end of downtown (2015 Main). Keep us posted.
is this in an area that would be populated or occupied by persons.
if so, sounds like the explosions are severe enough to cause a lot of casualties
Updating later ping
wow
bump
heh.. I think that video link is getting hammered at the moment.
Just checked the location on Google Earth. Large metal building with Hundreds of gas cylinders stored around it.
I feel sorry for anyone who was working at that place. I hope there’s no one at the site who needs medical attention, because it may be a while before an EMT will come close.
Yiikes! Stay safe!
Odd observation on my part but while watching the live feed I was amazed by the number of birds you folks have in DFW area.
Every five seconds there is a flock of birds flying by.
Hope everyone got out before those things started going off.
TT
May see fire personnel move in soon, it looks like the explosions are dying down, no new ones for the last minute or two.

Suspicious U-Haul Truck Reported at Dallas Courthouse Where Hamas Case Is on Docket Tuesday, July 24, 2007 DALLAS Authorities are investigating reports of a suspicious U-Haul truck at the Earle Cabell Federal Building in Dallas where opening statements are scheduled in a case against alleged Hamas fundraisers. Prosecutors are set to spell out their case today against leaders of a Muslim charity that federal officials say funneled millions of dollars to the Middle Eastern militant group Hamas. The trial in federal district court in Dallas caps an investigation into the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development that lasted more than a decade and spanned half the world. Defense attorneys say Holy Land supported humanitarian efforts in Palestinian neighborhoods but didn't knowingly aid Hamas. The five men on trial aren't accused of being terrorists. Rather, they are charged with illegally giving money to Hamas after it was designated a terrorist group in 1995. Authorities say some of the money went to support the families of suicide bombers. The trial is expected to last several months.
I was just telling some of my coworkers that it reminded me of "The Birds" when the gas station exploded.
