....I thought one of the points of having [a hybrid] was you couldn't go out there and burn up a lot of gasoline and get lousy miles per gallon statistics and so forth and so on. His sister picked him up in a Maserati. A V8 400-horsepower Maserati took Algore III home.

There's his 'Paris Hilton' moment. Imagine being picked up by your sister on your way out of jail, in a real car!

LOL... Don't these Gore kids know that we only have ten years before it's too late to save the planet?
Kids never listen to the Old Man. They always know he's a doddering fool.
Of course in this case they're right.

Can the Prius even do 100mph without needing an assist? Perhaps the Maserati was pushing the Prius!!

...I really hope his son gets help... Funny you should post that to me...I was just going to come back and post the same...
The "kid" needs help. I read yesterday that he was hit by a car when he was younger. He may have some issues with pain. I sincerely am pulling for him to get through this.

Her bumpersticker read : My other car is a Prius.
To: Recovering_Democrat
My understanding is the Prius or any other hybrid gets lousy gas mileage ... running on pure gas alone. It’s the combination of the fuel/electric that gives it its economy ....

If he has issues with pain, he should go to a doctor and get real prescriptions instead of doing illegal drugs.

I still want to know how Al Gore III’s suppository shaped hybrid car was capable of doing 100 MPH. I bet the battery pack was glowing like a warp core breach on Star Trek.

Funny you mention that as his kid getting hit (circa 1983) is when I first lost all respect for Gore. The accident occurred in front of Memorial Stadium in Balto. after an Orioles game. His kid ran out into the street without looking from in-between 2 parked cars.
In all of the initial interviews, Al said that it wasn't the drivers fault. His son had just let go of his hand and started running across the street and there was nothing the driver could have done to avoid hitting him.
Two months later, he was suing the driver of the car. I knew then that he was a lying, hypocrite. Up until then, I was a Gore fan (what can I say, I was 20 and stupid!!!)
